Guitarrón

Guitarrón or guitarron is a common name for a number of stringed instruments found in Latin America.

Examples include:

Guitarrón argentino, a six-stringed musical instrument from Argentina

Guitarrón chileno, a 25-stringed, plucked instrument from Chile

Guitarrón mexicano, a six-stringed, plucked instrument from Mexico

Guitarrón uruguayo, a six-stringed, plucked instrument from Uruguay, tuned B2/Gb2/D2/A1/E1/B0 or A2/E2/C2/G1/D1/A0, used in tango and folk music
