Jessy Moss is a singer/rapper. Her songs have appeared in a number of movies and television shows. She is best known for the hit Armand Van Helden remix of her song "Sugar".
Born in England, Moss was raised in Australia—staying with her father when her parents divorced and her mother moved to the United States. While visiting her mother in southern California, she caught the attention of a producer, who asked her to sing backup vocals for a project that he was working on. That led to an internship at Total Access Recording Studios in Redondo Beach, where she worked on records by artists including Long Beach Dub Allstars and Dio. In 2003 she released her debut solo album, Street Knuckles, on DreamWorks Records. She co-produced the record with Rick Hahn, Camara Kambon, and Butch Vig. That August, she was part of the Sprite Liquid Mix Tour with groups like N.E.R.D, The Roots, and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.
After DreamWorks shut down their record label, Moss self-released her second album, Fast and Cheap, in 2005. "Sugar", a song from that album, appeared on Armand Van Helden's 2005 Ultra Records mix CD, Nympho. Ultra released "Sugar" as a single in early 2006 (as Armand Van Helden featuring Jessy Moss) and managed to chart as high as #25 on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. Moss also released her third album, Down at the Disco, in 2006.

Mosses are small flowerless plants that typically grow in dense green clumps or mats, often in damp or shady locations. The individual plants are usually composed of simple, one-cell thick leaves, attached to a stem that may be branched or unbranched and has only a limited role in conducting water and nutrients. Although some species have vascular tissue this is generally poorly developed and structurally different from similar tissue found in other plants. They do not have seeds and after fertilisation develop sporophytes (unbranched stalks topped with single capsules containing spores). They are typically 0.2–10 cm (0.1–3.9 in) tall, though some species are much larger, like Dawsonia, the tallest moss in the world, which can grow to 50 cm (20 in) in height.
Mosses are commonly confused with lichens, hornworts, and liverworts. Lichens may superficially look like mosses, and have common names that include the word "moss" (e.g., "reindeer moss" or "iceland moss"), but are not related to mosses. Mosses, hornworts, and liverworts are collectively called "bryophytes". Bryophytes share the property of having the haploid gametophyte generation as the dominant phase of the life cycle. This contrasts with the pattern in all "vascular" plants (seed plants and pteridophytes), where the diploid sporophyte generation is dominant.
Moss is a musical language designed by composer Jackson Moore. It has a phonology based on elementary melodic distinctions, and a simple lexicon and grammar inspired by pidgins. Moore teaches Moss at Bruce High Quality Foundation University.

When I was just a little boy, I'd sit around all day.
Thinking about the future to pass the time of day.
With my friends sittin' laughin', they would mainly laugh at me,
because I was always different, it was all so plain to see.
Didn't want to be a fireman, a cowboy, or a cop.
I was always different like a sore thumb I stuck out.
Because even in my dreams I won't pretend to age,
I knew a life of normalcy was nothing but a cage.
When I grow up, I don't want to be like you!
To be a barbarian would be a lot of fun.
Sit around, eat raw meat in the mid day sun.
I'd dance around the fire, like a madman I would yell,
I'd smell a bit I'd fart a lot, I'd cut class and I'd belch.
I'd sack the Roman Empire and do with a grin.
I'd set the cities all ablaze... do it on a whim.
And people would shriek as I was coming into town,
because I'd bring my minotaur to help me fry it down.
When I grow up, I want something fun to do.
I don't know much, but this much I know is true.
when life is short, I don't want to be like you!
When I grow up I think I want to be white trash
living in a trailer park and sitting on my ass.
I'd beat my wife and kids, my kids are passed out in the lawn.
I'd steal my brewskies from my mom and often kick my dog.
I'd go to work an hour later, bitch about my boss.
I'd tell sexist jokes to all my friends to get my weight across.
And every friday night I think I'd bowl a round or two,
