Zoro (born Daniel Donnelly, June 13, 1962) is an American drummer, mainly in the styles of rock, R&B, and hip hop. Zoro is known as 'The Minister of Groove'. His outstanding feel, drive, syncopation and deep philosophies towards drumming have made him one of the most well-known and respected drummers in the world today.

An interesting part of Zoro's playing is his foot technique. Unusually, he plays mostly heel-down. His reason is that he has always played heel-down and he claims to get a "fatter sound" by quickly striking and releasing the beater from the bass drum head, rather than 'planting', as so many contemporary drummers do.

Zoro has toured and recorded with Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Brown, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, New Edition, Jody Watley, Sean Lennon, Philip Bailey, Lisa Marie Presley, Throttle Body Motorcycle Club, and many others. He has been consistently voted number one R&B drummer and number one clinician in Modern Drummer magazine, as well as receiving awards from other magazines, including 'Drum!.

Roronoa Zoro

Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ, spelled as "Roronoa Zolo" or "Roronoa Zorro" in some English adaptations), nicknamed "Pirate Hunter" Zoro (海賊狩りのゾロ, Kaizoku-Gari no Zoro), is a fictional character in the One Piece franchise created by Eiichiro Oda.

He is one of the two swordsmen of the Straw Hat Pirates, the other being Brook. In the story, Zoro is the first to join Monkey D. Luffy after he is saved from being executed at the Marine Base. As a native to the East Blue, he came from the town known as Shimotsuki, where he trained in a dojo. He is an expert swordsman who uses three swords for his Santōryū (Three Sword Style), but is also capable of the one and two-sword styles(Ittoryu and Nitoryuu). He seems to be more comfortable and powerful using three swords, but he also uses one sword or two swords against weaker enemies. He usually keeps his Wadou Ichimonji on his mouth when he performs santoryuu. Before fighting Ryuuma he used to use his Wado Ichimonji as his first choice for one sword style but after the fight and especially after the two-year timeskip, he uses the black sword Shusui as his first choice of his one sword style.

Groove (Billy Crawford album)

Groove is the fifth studio album from Philippine Pop and R&B singer Billy Crawford. The album was released on iTunes on May 1st, 2009. It was also made available in physical form in 2009. The new album is a re-working of classic hits from the 1970s to the 1980s.

Groove (film)

Groove is a 2000 American film that portrays one night in the San Francisco underground rave scene. Through a single email, the word spreads that a huge rave is going to take place in an abandoned warehouse. John Digweed has a cameo as himself and also contributed to the soundtrack with Nick Muir, under their production alias Bedrock.

Plot

Groove tells the story of an all-night rave. The film is broken up into segments by which DJ is spinning and features real-life DJs DJ Forest Green, WishFM, Polywog, and Digweed. It follows David Turner (Hamish Linklater), who becomes a reluctant raver when his brother Colin (Denny Kirkwood) drags him to the rave.
