Eligh Nachowitz (born February 28, 1978), better known mononymously as Eligh, is a rapper and producer from Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the underground hip hop group Living Legends.
Eligh's inspiration for making hip hop music came in the mid 1980s from the film Beat Street and LL Cool J's "I'm Bad." In high school, he co-founded the hip hop duo Boogalu Badboys with Scarub. When they crossed paths with another rapper Murs, the three formed 3 Melancholy Gypsys (3MG). Eligh then moved from Los Angeles up north to Bay Area, where he met The Grouch, which ultimately led to 3MG's incorporation into Living Legends.
In the mid and late 1990s, while simultaneously continuing to produce with Living Legends, Eligh released several self-pressed solo albums, such as As They Pass and Gas Dream. In the early 2000s, he released darker and more cryptic albums such as Poltergeist and Enigma.
In 2005, Eligh took a break from music to confront his growing drug and alcohol addiction problems. After heroin usage nearly took his life, Eligh attempted to get clean on his own, but eventually realized that he needed to seek out help. On October 12, 2005, Eligh checked himself into a treatment center, and has been free from all drugs and alcohol ever since. The Grammy foundation MusiCares, helped Eligh get a bed at an addiction treatment center and assisted with the related costs. Eligh also credits Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous with helping him remain clean.
Crow (23 February 1973–10 February 1989) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was one of the best three-year-olds in Europe in 1976 when he won the classic St Leger Stakes and finished second in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. He went on to win the Coronation Cup as a five-year-old in 1978. After his retirement from racing he stood as a breeding stallion in the United States and Australia with limited success.
Crow was a chestnut horse with a white blaze standing 16 hands high bred by his owner Daniel Wildenstein. He was the best horse sired by the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Exbury, to whom he bore a close physical resemblance. His dam, Carmosina was an Argentinian mare bought by Wildenstein for $10,000. The colt was sent into training in France with Angel Penna. Crow usually raced in a sheepskin noseband.
Crow did not race as a two-year-old but began his racing career in the spring of 1976. He won the Prix Northeast, finished second to Hunza Dancer in the Grand Prix de Compiegne and then won the Prix Eugene Adam over 2000 metres at Saint-Cloud Racecourse.
Crow or Crowe is a surname, and may refer to:
Crow was a Sioux chief who gave the opening battle cry at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.
Gray or grey is a coat color of horses characterized by progressive silvering of the colored hairs of the coat. Most gray horses have black skin and dark eyes; unlike many depigmentation genes, gray does not affect skin or eye color. Their adult hair coat is white, dappled, or white intermingled with hairs of other colors. Gray horses may be born any base color, depending on other color genes present. White hairs begin to appear at or shortly after birth and become progressively lighter as the horse ages. Graying can occur at different rates—very quickly on one horse and very slowly on another.
Gray horses appear in many breeds, though the color is most commonly seen in breeds descended from Arabian ancestors. Some breeds that have large numbers of gray-colored horses include the Thoroughbred, the Arabian, the American Quarter Horse, the Percheron, the Andalusian, the Welsh pony, and the most famous of all gray horse breeds, the Lipizzaner.
People who are unfamiliar with horses may refer to gray horses as "white." However, a gray horse whose hair coat is completely "white" will still have black skin (except under markings that were white at birth) and dark eyes. This is how to discern a gray horse from a white horse. White horses usually have pink skin and sometimes even have blue eyes. Young horses with hair coats consisting of a mixture of colored and gray or white hairs are sometimes confused with roan. Some horses that carry dilution genes may also be confused with white or gray.
The gray (symbol: Gy) is a derived unit of ionizing radiation dose in the International System of Units (SI). It is defined as the absorption of one joule of radiation energy per one kilogram of matter.
It is used as a measure of absorbed dose, specific energy (imparted), and kerma (an acronym for "kinetic energy released per unit mass"). It is a physical quantity, and does not take into account any biological context. Unlike the pre-1971 non-SI roentgen unit of radiation exposure, the gray when used for absorbed dose is defined independently of any target material. However, when measuring kerma the reference target material must be defined explicitly, usually as dry air at standard temperature and pressure.
The equivalent cgs unit, the rad (equivalent to 0.01 Gy), remains common in the United States, though "strongly discouraged" in the style guide for U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology authors.
The gray was named after British physicist Louis Harold Gray, a pioneer in the field of X-ray and radium radiation measurement, and their effects on living tissue. It was adopted as part of the International System of Units in 1975.
"Grey" is the fourth studio album by Sandy Lam, released under CBS Records in 1987. To continue the success of her last album in February of the same year, Sandy and her producers focused on the successful elements of her last album and applied onto this album, which introduced Eurodance into Hong Kong. Through this album, Sandy has proved herself not as a one-hit-album wonder, but a determined singer who can always create breakthrough in her albums and performance. "Grey" was released very strategically by CBS Records. They were named Grey Project Phase 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Phase One showed Sandy looking directly at the audience, and the clothing and background was cream-white. Phase One was released in vinyl, cassette tape and CD. Phase Two showed Sandy looking at the audience at the corner of her eye, in which the background and clothing were mainly dark blue and black. Phase Two was released only in vinyl and cassette tapes. In Phase Three, Sandy showed no demand from the audience. She was in stark black and white. Like Phase Two, Phase Three was only released in vinyl and cassette tapes. Phase Three was a 12 inch remix of "Grey" and "Family Man".
And it ain't gon stop because
The windows down and your on your own
See the whole city it talks and says
How does it feel to be all alone
The whole city is mine
The streets all fall in line
The roads empty
Yep
I'm in the loft starin out the window and the city it glows so don't tempt me
I turn her down like a clown
The hottest new boy in town
The names johnny baby
All my friends got invisible ends and don't tend to pretend and that's hardly maybe. You see I feel like a champ
Like all the crews went into vamp and just crept out
Just like I thought you would it's all good,
We can still be friends you just left out
Ain't a crooked line ahead of me they still tellin me I lost my way
What if the way lost me and just bounced so I got to say...
And it ain't gon stop because
The windows down and your on your own
See the whole city it talks and says
How does it feel to be all alone
All alone
I'm caught up in a whirlwiind, but I fly
The wind blows and so my pen flows
Fingers tense around the plastic
Curling up my ten toes. intensity is rising in my brain like a trainwreck
I wrestle with the feelings in my heart I can't explain yet never had a love like this before
In love with her lips, seein her face when I open up the door
When I drop my shit and give her all I got mi amor
Deserving of someone special in her life that gives a damn
I be that man till the end of time I'm not afraid
Keep wiping away the shade to bring that light behind her eyes
Attracted like matches to flint rock when it catches
Hard to get apart like the jaws on a pit
Stop and listen to the angels sing to you amplified by I
Harmonizing my deepest truth colonizing a love so true
There's nothing I won't do for you
Sweet soul and a dream come true but both of us got work to do
Million miles of love inside you I can see it when your smiling put it on me
I'm all in, when you call me I'm beside you
Nightmares get replaced by fantasy all I care about is that you stay around and dance with me, slow dancing, romancing, hold hands
Don't hold your breath cause I won't disappear from here
I got your back until death sweet whirlwinds surround us
But no one can define us your my highness
The blanket to my linus
And I promise, no lies, I'm yours,
Your scent is in my pores in the whirlwind
The roof lifted man
I got a stone cold gifted plan let's wild out
Let the dough blow in slow-mo and pass drough on the low fasho
And just hide out
Walked in spinnin, can't stop grinnin
In the endin there's nothing to believe in
There's bad blood in the vein
Bad girl in the frame
And nothin changing this evenin
And it ain't gon stop because
The windows down and your on your own
See the whole city it talks and says
How does it feel to be all alone
All alone
I'm caught up in a whirlwiind, but I'm fly
