Three Drives

Three Drives, also known as Three Drives on a Vinyl, is a Dutch progressive trance duo founded by Erik de Koning and Ton van Empel. In June 2014, van Empel left the group.

Their best-known tracks are "Greece 2000" (originally released in 1997 by Massive Drive Recordings, with more mainstream releases on ZYX Music and Hooj Choons) and "Sunset on Ibiza".

Greece (ⁱ/ɡriːs/ GREESS; Greek: Ελλάδα, Elláda [eˈlaða]), officially the Hellenic Republic (Greek: Ελληνική Δημοκρατία, Ellīnikī́ Dīmokratía [eliniˈci ðimokraˈti.a]) and known since ancient times as Hellas (/ˈhɛləs/; Greek: Ελλάς, Ellás), is a country located in southeastern Europe. Greece has the longest coastline on the Mediterranean Basin and the 11th longest coastline in the world at 13,676 km (8,498 mi) in length, featuring a vast number of islands, of which 227 are inhabited. Eighty percent of Greece is mountainous, with Mount Olympus being the highest peak at 2,918 metres (9,573 ft).

Gone Troppo

Gone Troppo is the tenth studio album by George Harrison, recorded and released in 1982. It would prove to be Harrison's last studio album for five years, during which he largely took an extended hiatus from his recording career, with only the occasional soundtrack recording surfacing.

Background

By 1980, Harrison had been finding the current musical climate alienating. His commercial appeal had dwindled, with 1981's Somewhere in England failing to go gold (despite featuring the John Lennon tribute hit, "All Those Years Ago"). With one album left on his current recording contract, Harrison decided to get it over with and recorded Gone Troppo (an Australian slang expression meaning "gone mad/crazy") and released it without participating in any promotion.

Release

Gone Troppo was issued on Dark Horse Records in November 1982. The album's artwork was credited to "Legs" Larry Smith, formerly of Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. The album peaked at number 108 in the United States and failed to chart at all in the United Kingdom.

Fur people

The Fur (Fur: fòòrà, Arabic: فور Fūr) are an ethnic group from western Sudan, principally inhabiting the region of Darfur where they are the largest tribe.

They are a Western Sudanese people who practice sedentary herding and agriculture, mainly the cultivation of millet. Their society is a traditional one governed by village elders. They speak Fur, a Nilo-Saharan language, and are Muslims, having adopted the religion following the region's conquest by the Kanem-Bornu Empire during the Middle Ages. Some of them have come to speak Arabic in recent years.

The name of Darfur comes from the name of this tribe and means "the home of the Fur". Most of the well known governors of Darfur such as Deriage and Tegani Seisei are members of the Fur. The Fur established the historical Sultanate of Darfur which governed Darfur until 1916 (see History of Darfur).

Abdul Wahid al Nur, a leader among the Fur, established the Sudan Liberation Movement and Army. Another leader of the tribe, as of 2007, is Ahmed Abdelshafi (Toba).

Rúbaň (Hungarian: Für) is a village and municipality in the Nové Zámky District in the Nitra Region of south-west Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1268.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 134 metres and covers an area of 16.109 km². It has a population of about 1000 people.

Ethnicity

The population is about 86% Hungarian and 14% Slovak.
