Ira (/ˈiːrə/ or /ˈaɪərə/) is a male and female given name. In Hebrew, the name Ira (עִירָא, Standard Hebrew ʿIra, Tiberian Hebrew ʿÎrâ) means watchful.

In Sanskrit, Ira (ईरा) is the name of the wind-god who is father of the monkey god Hanuman. Ira (इरा) is the daughter of Daksha who was married to the sage Kashyap. Ira is also another name for the goddess Sarasvati, and for Earth in Sanskrit.

In Russia and Finland, Ira is a female given name, which is the short form of the Greek name Eirene. Eirene was a Greek goddess that was the personification of peace, and the name itself means peace. Ira can be a nickname for Ireneo, Irenej, Ireneus, and Irinij.

Iran Air Flight 277

Iran Air Flight 277 was a passenger flight which crashed near Urmia Airport, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran, on January 9, 2011. 77 of the 105 aboard died. The aircraft involved, a Boeing 727-286Adv, was operating Iran Air's scheduled domestic service from Mehrabad International Airport, Tehran, to Urmia. It crashed after a go-around was initiated during final approach, in poor weather conditions.

The aircraft involved in the accident was a Boeing 727, registration EP-IRP, built in 1974. The aircraft had spent a long time out of service. It was impounded at Baghdad, Iraq from 1984 to 1990, and then placed in storage from 1991 to 2002. It was then overhauled and returned to service.

Accident

The flight was travelling between Tehran and Urmia and crashed on final approach near Urmia Airport. The accident occurred at around 19:45 local time (16:15 UTC), and was reportedly caused by poor weather. The aircraft had missed its first attempt at landing; it either crashed during a go-around, or while attempting to return to Tehran. The weather conditions at the time of the accident included snow and low visibility. Upon impact, the aircraft broke into multiple pieces, though without fire or explosions. There were differing initial reports as to the type of aircraft that crashed, with either a Fokker 100 or a Boeing 727 claimed to have crashed, although the aircraft was later confirmed to be a Boeing 727.

Originality

Originality is the aspect of created or invented works by as being new or novel, and thus can be distinguished from reproductions, clones, forgeries, or derivative works. An original work is one not received from others nor one copied from or based upon the work of others.. It is a work created with a unique style and substance. The term "originality" is often applied as a compliment to the creativity of artists, writers, and thinkers. The idea of originality as we know it was invented by Romanticism, with a notion that is often called romantic originality.

The concept of originality is culturally contingent. It became an ideal in Western culture starting from the 18th century. "Original" is a song by Leftfield, released as the sixth single under that name. The song was released on 12" and CD on 13 March 1995. It featured Toni Halliday on vocals.
