Glenn R. Davis, Jr. (born October 19, 1973) is an American politician from Virginia. A member of the Republican Party, Davis is the member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 84th district.

Glenn Davis began his entrepreneurial career in a one-bedroom apartment in Virginia Beach, Virginia. There, Davis started his first company, a telecommunications management firm which soon became a leading telecom business garnering many awards, including the “Rising 25” award from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development. In 2007, the Inc. 5000 included it as one of the 100 fastest growing IT companies in America.

One of Davis’ biggest accomplishments was the acquisition of Geeks On Call in 2009, a publicly traded premier on-site computer support company with a nationwide footprint and 143 franchise territories across the United States. Davis’ company acquired the brand and assets of Geeks On Call and took it private. He then reorganized the company and launched Geeks On Call into a new market segment, professional technology support for businesses, moving away from the residential support model that the company was founded upon. With the reorganization and rebranding, Geeks On Call went from experiencing a significant monthly cash burn to making a profit. Geeks On Call’s call center operations attracted an India based world leader in computer technical support who contracted with Geeks On Call to provide call center support for their US operations.

Glenn Davis (web design)

Glenn Davis (born June 21, 1961) was one of the first web designers. He is best known for his websites Cool Site of the Day and Project Cool and for being a founding member of the Web Standards Project.

Davis created Cool Site of the Day in August 1994. Linking to one single recommended site off its homepage each day, the site soon became an arbiter of taste on the Internet, and its award was a coveted prize among Silicon Alley start-ups. Cool Site of the Day also sparked a large number of similar coolness awards.

Davis became a celebrity through Cool Site of the Day, giving interviews to magazines and radio networks such as NPR while fending off gifts from site maintainers who sought his recommendation of their sites.Newsweek celebrated Davis as one of the 50 most important people on the Internet in 1995, dubbing him the "King of Cool."

In time for the first anniversary of Cool Site of the Day, Davis inaugurated the Cool Site Of The Year award, also known as the Webby, which was first presented in Hollywood, California, in August 1995, and was given to The Spot.
