Giles is a comic, a story based on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series.

Story description

Giles has been Buffy's Watcher now for four years. He becomes involved in a solo adventure when the Watcher, Michaela Tomasi, notifies him of the death of his former mentor, Archie Lassiter. This draws him back to England. He finds out that the Watchers' Council is guarding a dark secret, which may cause the resurrection of the dark Elder Gods. Though the Council does not want his help, Giles might be the one person who can prevent disaster.

Canonical issues

Buffy comics such as this one are not usually considered by fans as canonical. Some fans consider them stories from the imaginations of authors and artists, while other fans consider them as taking place in an alternative fictional reality. However unlike fan fiction, overviews summarising their story, written early in the writing process, were 'approved' by both Fox and Joss Whedon (or his office), and the books were therefore later published as officially Buffy merchandise.

Tommy Giles Rogers, Jr.

Tommy Giles Rogers (born December 24, 1980 in Morganton, North Carolina) is an American musician, most notable for being the lead vocalist, keyboardist, and founding member of the American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me. His vocal style combines death growls and screams with peaceful clean singing melodies, sometimes including falsetto.

Musical career

Rogers started his musical career in 1999 by being a guitarist for the metalcore band, Prayer for Cleansing; when they disbanded, Rogers founded the progressive metal band, Between the Buried and Me in 2001. After acquiring a full lineup, they released their three-song demo and then their self-titled debut album in 2002. In 2004, Rogers released a self-titled debut album for his electronica side project, named Giles. Rogers was one of the vocalists for the metal band From Here On and has appeared in numerous other musical projects, including the metal band Undying. He is a part of a clothing line and a small musical duo project with Jacob Troth that is known as Jacob Rogers.

Brent

Brent is an Old English place name and surname. The place name can be from Celtic words meaning "holy one" (if it refers to the River Brent), or "high place", literally, "from a steep hill" (if it refers to the villages in Somerset and Devon, England) (Mills 1991). The surname often indicates that one's ancestors lived in a place called Brent.

Brent has also become a regularly used given name in some countries, being among the thousand most common names for boys born in the United States since 1933. When used as a given name today, Brent is sometimes a short form of Brenton, but this was probably not the original inspiration for Brent's use as a given name, since Brenton's own regular use as a first name came many years after Brent was established in that role.

The London Borough of Brent ( pronunciation ) is a London borough in north west London, and forms part of Outer London. The major areas are Kilburn, Wembley and Harlesden.

It borders the boroughs of Harrow to the north-west, Barnet to the north-east, Camden to the east and Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Kensington and Chelsea to the south, and Westminster to the south-east. Most of the eastern border is formed by the Roman road Watling Street, which is now the modern A5. Brent has a mixture of residential, industrial and commercial land. Brent is home to Wembley Stadium, one of the country's biggest landmarks, as well as Wembley Arena. The local authority is Brent London Borough Council.

The borough has seen illegal dumping on the borough’s streets between 2013/14 and 2014/15 surge by 84 per cent, the most recorded by a local authority in England. Caesar

Original films

Milo, better known as Caesar, is a fictional character in the Planet of the Apes franchise. He is named after Julius Caesar.

The character of Caesar has had major participation in original film series and the reboot film series.

In Escape from the Planet of the Apes

He is the son of talking chimpanzees Cornelius and Zira. Originally named Milo after Dr. Milo, who travelled back in time with Cornelius and Zira to the Earth of Taylor's era, he was reared by his human foster father Armando, a traveling circus owner who gave Cornelius and Zira sanctuary when Zira went into labor in the final act of Escape from the Planet of the Apes. Before departing, Zira switched the infant Milo with a young chimpanzee recently born to Armando's primitive chimpanzee, Heloise. Heloise's baby was killed, along with Zira, by the human Dr. Otto Hasslein. After Cornelius kills Hasslein, he is shot by a Marine Corps sniper. Milo speaks his first word, "Mama", at the very end of the film. His false identity secure, Milo grew up as a mute acrobat.
