Studio 2 was a daily (weeknights) current affairs newsmagazine on TVOntario in Ontario, Canada. The show won several Gemini Awards, and was hosted by Steve Paikin and Paula Todd (who replaced original co-host Mary Hynes in the show's third season), and first aired in 1994. TVOntario announced the program's termination on June 29, 2006. The final episode aired on June 30, and was replaced that fall with a new series hosted by Paikin, The Agenda.
Rather than a newscast style, Studio 2 tackled certain current news stories affecting many Canadians with a focus often on Ontario. Regular topics on the show included healthcare, federal politics, provincial politics, terrorism, foreign affairs, the environment, the arts and many others.
The show usually performed a deep analysis, often with open discussions among experts or even interviewing specific figures involved in the issues. Also included were arts and current affairs documentary segments, live performance, and in-depth personal interviews.
Studio 2 LIVE was a New Zealand children's television show. It was originally named Studio 2 up until 2010, when it was renamed Studio 2 LIVE. It premiered on 22 March 2004 after WNTV (What Now's afternoon show) was cancelled. It screened weekdays 3:30–4:30 p.m. on TV2. The series ended on 1 October 2010.
Studio 2 LIVE had an interactive website called "The Hub" where the presenters chatted to fans even after the series ended on 1 October 2010. However, the website closed down in August 2011.
Over the years of Studio 2 Live, a number of celebrities and public figures have been guests on the show such as Rodger Bumpass and former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark. She was a guest on the show in 2004.
When Studio 2 premiered in March 2004 there were only 2 presenters. Matthew Gibb and Dayna Vawdrey.
Stay at home, now
That little girl was born on the ghetto side of town
She knows every trick in the book and she certainly gets around
She's been with many men since she was only ten
She never stay at home, she's always on the town
Your mamma is wondering where you are
What do you see at night when you're under the stars
Stay at home
Sister stay at home
Don't let your mamma down
Don't be a run around
Stay at home
Sister stay at home
Don't let your mamma down
Don't be a run around
Stay at home, now
That little girl was born on the ghetto side of town
She knows every trick in the book and she certainly gets around
She's been with many men since she was only ten
She never stay at home, she's always on the town
Your mamma is wondering where you are
What do you see at night when you're under the stars
Baby keep on running and you won't get far
You like to travel with all those movie stars
You like a hangin' in the big long shiny cars
Sister stay at home
