Barnes & Noble Nook

The Barnes & Noble Nook (styled nook or NOOK) is a brand of e-readers developed by American book retailer Barnes & Noble, based on the Android platform. The original device was announced in the United States in October 2009, and was released the next month. The original Nook had a six-inch E-paper display and a separate, smaller color touchscreen that serves as the primary input device and was capable of Wi-Fi and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity. The original nook was followed in November 2010 by a color LCD device called the Nook Color, in June 2011 by the Nook Simple Touch, and in November 2011 and February 2012 by the Nook Tablet. On April 30, 2012, Barnes & Noble entered into a partnership with Microsoft that will spin off the Nook and college businesses into a subsidiary. On August 28, 2012, Barnes and Noble announced partnerships with retailers in the UK, which began offering the Nook digital products in October 2012. In December 2014, B&N purchased the Microsoft shares of Nook, ending the partnership between the companies.

Nook is the second full studio album by The Notwist. The album explores the band's earlier sound of hardcore and punk as opposed to electronica. It was re-released in 2003 following the success of Neon Golden.

Virgate

The virgate, yardland, or yard of land (Latin: virgāta [terrae]) was an English unit of land. Primarily a measure of tax assessment rather than area, the virgate was usually (but not always) reckoned as ¼ hide and notionally (but seldom exactly) equal to 30 acres. It was equivalent to two of the Danelaw's oxgangs.

Alcohol intoxication

Alcohol intoxication (also known as drunkenness or inebriation) is a physiological state (that may also include psychological alterations of consciousness) induced by the ingestion of ethanol (alcohol).

Alcohol intoxication is the result of alcohol entering the bloodstream faster than it can be metabolized by the liver, which breaks down the ethanol into non-intoxicating byproducts. Some effects of alcohol intoxication (such as euphoria and lowered social inhibitions) are central to alcohol's desirability as a beverage and its history as one of the world's most widespread recreational drugs. Despite this widespread use and alcohol's legality in most countries, many medical sources tend to describe any level of alcohol intoxication as a form of poisoning due to ethanol's damaging effects on the body in large doses; some religions consider alcohol intoxication to be a sin while others utilize it in sacrament.

Symptoms of alcohol intoxication include euphoria, flushed skin and decreased social inhibition at lower doses, with larger doses producing progressively severe impairments of balance, muscle coordination (ataxia), and decision-making ability (potentially leading to violent or erratic behavior) as well as nausea or vomiting from alcohol's disruptive effect on the semicircular canals of the inner ear and chemical irritation of the gastric mucosa. Sufficiently high levels of blood-borne alcohol will cause coma and death from the depressive effects of alcohol upon the central nervous system.

Drunk (Jimmy Liggins song)

"Drunk" is a 1953 Jimmy Liggins song. The song was released on Art Rupe's Specialty Records with another Liggin's composition "I'll Never Let You Go" as the B-side. The song "Drunk" has been covered by many artists including Ace Cannon (1971) and Steve Tallis (1986).

The lyrics include the line "Came home one night with a spinning in my head/reached for the pillow, missed the whole darned bed".

"Drunk" is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It was released as the fourth single lifted from the debut studio album + on 17 February 2012. The song was written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Jake Gosling. The single entered the UK Singles Chart at number 63. The week after, it climbed to number 29. Later on, it climbed to number 9, making it his fourth top ten single.

Background

On January 14, 2012, Ed Sheeran announced on Twitter that his single, "Drunk" would be released as the fourth single from his debut album + saying "So my next single is Drunk, I got 2 music videos coming for you..... :)". The official music video, released on 23 January 2012 features a cat who takes Ed out and gets him drunk to distract him from a break-up. The girl in the video, is the singer supporting him on his recent tour, Nina Nesbitt. This happens to be his first music video that he fully starred in. Another video was released several days before made by his cousin. The music video featured a mash up of clips from his UK tour.
