George Thomas Moore (1871–1956) was a U.S. botanist, who specialised in phycology, the study of algae. Moore was the director of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri from 1912 to 1953.
Moore was born in on February 23, 1871 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He obtained both a Bachelor of Science in 1894 from Wabash College in his home state, and a Bachelor of Arts in 1895 from Harvard University, continuing at the latter to obtain a Master of Arts in 1896 and finally, in 1900, a Doctor of Philosophy. Moore headed to the Missouri Botanical Garden after serving for two years as the head of the Botany Department at Dartmouth College, and for some time as head of the Laboratory of Plant Pathology at the United States Department of Agriculture. He was also the head of Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. He also served on the board of trustees for Science Service, now known as Society for Science & the Public, from 1921-1923.
Sir Thomas Cecil Russell Moore, 1st Baronet CBE (16 September 1886 – 9 April 1971) was a long-serving British Conservative Party politician. He was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayr Burghs in a 1925 by-election, and served until his retirement in 1964, when he was succeeded by George Younger. Moore was created a Baronet, of Kyleburn in the County of Ayr, in 1956. He died in April 1971, aged 84, when the baronetcy became extinct. In the mid 1930s Moore, a Colonel in the British Army, wrote widely in the UK press in support of Adolf Hitler and the policies of Nazism.

He scored his second goal in his third appearance against Malta U17 on 22 August 2013. On his sixth appearance, Thomas got his third international goal scoring against Slovenia U17 on 28 September 2013. His fourth goal came on his seventh appearance against Czech Republic U17 on 18 February 2014. Thomas made his Wales U19 debut against Montenegro in September 2014. Thomas scored his first goal for Wales U19 in a 2–1 win against Albania U19 in November 2014.
George Thomas (born 25 June 1930) was a Welsh professional footballer. A wing-half, he played for Cardiff City. In 1953 he joined Newport County and went on to make 137 appearances for the club between 1953 and 1959.
