Genocide

Genocide is the intent to systematically eliminate a racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, cultural or national group. Well-known examples of genocide include the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, the 1971 Bangladesh genocide, the Cambodian Genocide, and more recently the Rwandan Genocide, the Al-Anfal Campaign, and the Bosnian Genocide.

Etymology

Genocide has become an official term used in international relations. The word "genocide" was not in use before 1944. Before this was established, Winston Churchill referred to it as a crime with no name. In that year, a Polish-Jewish lawyer named Raphael Lemkin, described the policies of systematic murder founded by the Nazis as genocide. The word genocide is the combination of the Greek word "geno" (meaning tribe or race) and “caedere” (the Latin word for to kill). The word is defined as a specific set of violent crimes that are committed against a certain group with the attempt to remove the entire group from existence or to destroy them.

Zoom (company)

ZOOM Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社ズーム, Hepburn: Kabushiki gaisha Zūmu) is a Japanese video game company based in Sapporo, Japan.

History

The company started by producing a few titles for the Sharp X68000 system, and then for other console systems. In April 1993, Zoom established a joint venture with Imagineer. However, Imagineer-Zoom was disbanded in January 1995 because of poor performance. Dolucky is the most notable game series published by Imagineer. They developed some fighting games such as Zero Divide and Rurouni Kenshin: Ishin Gekitōhen.

The company's mascot is a cat named NECO, whose first appearance was on the Genocide game intro and manual. In the Dolucky video game series, the mascot appears as the main character. It also appears in the Zero Divide titles.

Season 2 includes the introduction of a smart, tough, Mexican criminal called "Armadillo." It also includes the beginning of the "Money Train" storyline.

Season 3 (2004)

Season 3 follows the Strike Team attempts of lying low after the Money Train Heist. However, their efforts are hindered as the repercussions of the heist start to pursue them, which brings some tension between Shane, Lem, and Tavon. Also, Aceveda looks for his replacement as he prepares to take the seat of councilman.

Season 4 (2005)

Season 4 features the new captain of The Barn, Monica Rawling who implements controversial federal asset forfeiture laws to control drug dealing in Farmington, which is controlled by the leader of the One-Niners gang, Antwon Mitchell, who has just been released from prison. To stop this, Rawling empowers Vic, whose Strike Team has disbanded since the last season forcing them to reunite.
