Gaza Province

Gaza is a province of Mozambique. It has an area of 75,334 km² and a population of 1,416,810 (2015).

Xai-Xai is the capital of the province. Inhambane Province is to the east, Manica Province to the north, Maputo Province to the south, South Africa to the west, and Zimbabwe to the northwest.

Geography

Most of the district lies in the basin of the Limpopo River, which runs from northwest to southeast through the district, emptying into the Indian Ocean near Xai-Xai. The Changane River, a tributary of the Limpopo, forms part of the province's eastern boundary. The Rio dos Elefantes (Olifants River) flows into the district from the west through the Massingir Dam, to empty into the Limpopo.

The Save River forms the northern boundary of the province.

The Limpopo railway, which connects Zimbabwe and Botswana to the port of Maputo, runs through the province, entering Zimbabwe at the border town of Chicualacuala.

The province, including the towns of Xai-Xai and Chokwe, were greatly affected by the 2000 Mozambique flood.

G-Type is a member of the Imperial Guard in the Marvel Universe. The character, created by Grant Morrison and Igor Kordey, first appeared in New X-Men #124. Within the context of the stories, G-Type is an alien with telepathy.

Gamiel the Manipulator

Gamiel the Manipulator is a Celestial in the Marvel Universe. The character, created by Eric Powell, appeared in Marvel Monsters: Devil Dinosaur #1 (December, 2005).

Within the context of the stories, Gamiel is a young Celestial tasked with watching over Earth alongside Devron the Experimenter.

Gammenon the Gatherer

Gammenon the Gatherer is a Celestial in the Marvel Universe. The character, created by Jack Kirby, first appeared in The Eternals #4 (October 1976).

Within the context of the stories, Gammenon is the Celestial tasked with collecting samples of all life forms present on a planet during a Celestial Host and is present during at least the First and Fourth Hosts to visit Earth. He then turns these over to Jemiah the Analyzer.

Egypt (band)

There is/has been more than one band called Egypt over the years. This can cause confusion with albums & tracks from different 'Egypts' often listed together as if they were one band. This Egypt (1987 to the present) is best known for its close connections to 1960s/70s band The Groundhogs and, just to add to the confusion, had a very different style and line-up in the early days, making many people believe they were two different bands.

The early years

Egypt's original line-up first got together in a squat in Shepherds Bush, London in late 1987, but the story really begins a few weeks before when ex-Groundhogs bass player Alan Fish and ex-Jethro Tull drummer Clive Bunker were asked to record the very first album release (literally serial number 001) for the then fledgling record label HTD Records (HTD are now Talking Elephant Records and deal with Wishbone Ash, Fairport Convention, Ritchie Blackmore, Steven Stills, etc.). Also included was guitarist Don Greer (ex-Bachman Turner Overdrive and others).

Egypt (TV series)

Egypt is a BBC television docudrama serial portraying events in the history of Egyptology from the 18th through early 20th centuries. It originally aired on Sunday nights at 9 pm on BBC1 in 2005. The first two episodes explored the work of Howard Carter and his archaeological quest in Egypt in the early part of the twentieth century. The next two episodes focused on the eccentric explorer "The Great Belzoni". played here by ]Matthew Kelly. The final two episodes dramatise the discovery and deciphering of the Rosetta Stone by Jean-François Champollion (Elliot Cowan).

The music was recorded by the Warsaw Radio Orchestra and is featured on the CD Timeless Histories by Chappell music, produced by Clare Isaacs.

Production

The series was a major new docudrama series produced by the BBC for the Autumn 2005 schedule.

In order to create a sense of "seeing the treasures of Ancient Egypt for the first time", Dolling and Bradshaw felt it essential to film at the actual archaeological sites referenced in the series.
