San E

Jung San (born on (1985-01-23)January 23, 1985), more commonly known by his stage name San E, is a South Korean hip hop rapper under Brand New Music. He was previously contracted under JYP Entertainment in September 2010 and terminated his contract with them in April 2013.

Biography

San E was born on January 23, 1985 in South Korea. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia, USA, when he was a middle school student. He attended the University of Georgia (UGA).

Career

2010 : Debut

San E won "Best Hip Hop Song" at the 2010 Korean Music Awards for the track "Rap Genius." Soon after he signed with JYP Entertainment. He was the first hip hop solo rapper to join the label. On September 6, 2010 JYP released a teaser of San E. On September 10 San E released a tracklist of his 1st Mini Album entitled Everybody ready?. There are various JYP artists who are featured in the album, including 2PM's Jun. K, Min (of Miss A), Joo and Yenny (of Wonder Girls). On September 16 he debuted on M! Countdown with his debut single 'Tasty San', featuring Min. On November 2, San E started another round of promotions with a music video starring Sohee (of Wonder Girls), for a track named "LoveSick." He also took part in JYP Nation's music video "This Christmas".

The first disc serves as the soundtrack album for the second season of the television series Hannah Montana, while the second disc serves as the debut studio album by its primary actress Miley Cyrus. All twenty tracks are performed by Cyrus, although the first disc is credited to her titular character Hannah Montana. In the vein of the original soundtrack Hannah Montana (2006), The lyrical themes revolve largely around "girl power", teen romance, and the double life that Cyrus' character lives on the program.

It debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 325,000 copies, and has since been certified quadruple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for exceeding shipments of four million units. The album charted moderately on national record charts throughout Europe and Oceania, appearing in the top-twenty in several countries. It received a multi-platinum certification in Canada, single-platinum certifications in Australia and Sweden, and gold certifications in Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom and Sold more than 10 million .
