306th Flying Training Group

The 306th Flying Training Group (306 FTG) is a unit of the United States Air Force, assigned to Air Education and Training Command (AETC). The group is stationed at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The 306 FTG is the airmanship training unit of the USAFA. The group replaced the 34th Operations Group in 2004. The designation "306th" was deliberately selected by the historian of AETC to connect the training mission of the current group with its relationship to the book and movie "Twelve O'Clock High".

During World War II, the group, as the 306th Bombardment Group, was the first operational bombardment group in the VIII Bomber Command. It was stationed at RAF Thurleigh, England from 6 September 1942 until 25 December 1945, the longest tenure at one station for any one Eighth Air Force group.

Staff Sergeant Maynard H. Smith of the 423d Bomb Squadron was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions that helped save the lives of six of his wounded comrades on 1 May 1943.

Front Range Airport

Front Range Airport (ICAO: KFTG, FAA LID: FTG) is a public airport located on the northeastern edge of Aurora, Colorado, three miles (5 km) southeast of Denver International Airport. It was owned by the Front Range Airport Authority, until January 2014 when Front Range Airport and all its employees merged with Adams County and became its own Department. Front Range Airport serves the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The postal designation of Watkins, a nearby unincorporated community, is used in the airport's mailing address.

Although many U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Front Range Airport is assigned FTG by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Front Range is a small general aviation airport, although increased demand has warranted a number of expansion programs in recent years. Until 2005 it was a non-towered airport without air traffic control (ATC) services, when the tallest general aviation control tower in the United States (191 ft) was opened along with full ATC services. Currently, Front Range airport serves as the base of a few flying schools, flight clubs, maintenance services, and air rescue training facilities. Due to its location on the flat plains of eastern Colorado, as well as generally cheaper aircraft rental rates, it is a very popular airport for both flight training and recreational flights. It is also popular among owners and pilots of kit-built aircraft, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has a very strong presence at Front Range, which frequently hosts the EAA Young Eagles Rallyes.

FTG (Freedom That's Gone) is a thrash metal band from Malaysia. They are among the earliest to appear at the end of the era of the first generation of underground music Malaysia such as Nemesis, Punisher and others.

History

FTG originally was a group of musicians, studio musicians who worked as a studio sessionist in FGM (Family Group Malaysia) which formerly managed by pop artists such as Zaiton Sameon, Byahh and ingrid and Eddie Hamid.

EP were recording their first overtones "Thrash Metal" Malaysia is the first released to the market. IT releasing by FGM since 1992. A few weeks later a record company called VSP also produce Cromok demo-EP, "Image of Purity" (a record in Woolongong, Sydney, Australia). Both recording becomes the starting point for the recordings that thrash metal in the Malaysian music industry.

FTG Group to highlight the image Thrash metal and very popular funfair nationwide. Lately they prefer taking the direction of music but still maintain agressif less reluctant metal music itself. They also tend to produce the album in Malay language, and no longer use the English language.
