"Frozen" is the second single from the Within Temptation album The Heart of Everything (2007). The single was released in Europe on June 11, 2007. The song and the video both deal with the issue of domestic abuse. On their Web site, the band explained they wanted to raise awareness about "a subject that we feel is not discussed in public enough."[1] The band will donate the income they receive from Sony/BMG for the “Frozen” single to Child Helpline International. In the UK, the song "The Howling" was chosen for the second single, available as a digital download only. The Frozen single contains single versions of both these songs.

The music video's plot supports the claim that the track is about childhood abuse and domestic violence. It portrays an alcoholic who beats and presumably rapes his wife and daughter, and at the close of the video is killed by a poison slipped into his drink by his wife. The wife, as a result, is put in jail and possibly sentenced to death, leaving the child an orphan. At the beginning and in the final moments of the video, she is shown writing a letter to her daughter. The video also features the band playing the song.

"Frozen" is the first single of the Dutch symphonic metal band Delain. It was released on January 8, 2007 by Roadrunner Records.
USS Comstock (LSD-19) was a Casa Grande-class dock landing ship of the United States Navy. She was the first navy ship named in honor of the Comstock Lode in Nevada, discovered in 1859, which was one of the richest deposits of precious metals known in the world.
As of 2011, the ship is in active service at Republic of China Navy as ROCS Chung Cheng (LSD-191).
Comstock was launched on 28 April 1945 by Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Newport News, Va., sponsored by Mrs. H. O. Redue, Jr.; and commissioned on 2 July 1945, Lieutenant Commander J. C. Rochester, USNR, in command.
Comstock sailed from Norfolk on 6 September 1945 and after calling at Pearl Harbor en route, arrived at Okinawa 20 October to join in the occupation activities of amphibious forces in China and Japan. She served in the Far East until 1946, then returned to the west coast, entering Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on 26 May for conversion to a boat pool ship.
After operating along the west coast, Comstock trained in the Hawaiian Islands from July 1947. Between 28 November 1947 and 31 May 1948 she furnished boat pool services to Joint Task Force 7 for Operation Sandstone, the atomic weapons tests at Eniwetok. After calling at Yokosuka, Japan, she returned to San Francisco on 17 June and alternated local operations on the west coast with six brief tours of duty in the western Pacific until the outbreak of the Korean War.
USS Belle Grove (LSD-2) was a Ashland-class dock landing ship of the United States Navy, named in honor of Belle Grove Plantation, the birthplace of President James Madison (1751–1836) in Port Conway, Virginia.
Belle Grove was laid down on 27 October 1942 by the Moore Dry Dock Company, Oakland, California; launched on 17 February 1943, sponsored by Mrs. George M. Lowry; and commissioned at Oakland on 9 August 1943, Lieutenant Commander Morris Seavey, USNR, in command.
Following her shakedown cruise in the waters off southern California, Belle Grove sailed for Pearl Harbor on 21 October 1943. Upon arrival, the dock landing ship conducted several rehearsals for the upcoming invasion of the Gilbert Islands. In early November, she loaded troops and equipment and set sail for Makin Island. Arriving in the lagoon off Makin on 20 November, she unloaded her embarked troops and LCMs without incident later that morning. In company with Transport Division 20 (TransDiv 20), the ship cleared the island group that evening, returning to Pearl Harbor on 2 December.
USS Casa Grande (LSD-13) was a Casa Grande-class dock landing ship of the United States Navy, named in honor of Casa Grande Ruins National Monument near Coolidge, Arizona.
The ship was originally authorized under the Lend-Lease Act as BAPM-5, the fifth of seven British Mechanized Artillery Transports, to be named HMS Portway (F144). Reclassified a Landing Ship Dock, LSD-13, on 1 July 1942, the contract for LSD-13 was awarded to Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Newport News, Virginia, on 10 September 1942. Renamed HMS Spear, LSD-13's keel was laid down, on 11 November 1943. While under construction, LSD-13, -14, and -15 were reassigned back to the United States. The ship was renamed Casa Grande, and, as the first of her class in the U.S. Navy, gave her name to the class.
Casa Grande was launched 11 April 1944, sponsored by Mrs. G. Delapalme; and commissioned 5 June 1944, Lieutenant Commander F. E. Strumm, USNR, in command.
Sailing from Hampton Roads 19 July 1944, Casa Grande was delayed at Balboa, Panama Canal Zone for repairs en route to Pearl Harbor, where she arrived 21 August. Here she offloaded landing craft brought from the east coast, and loaded men and equipment for the invasion of Yap. However, upon her arrival at Eniwetok on 25 September, she was ordered to Manus Island to prepare for the Leyte operation. Assigned to the Southern Attack Force, she entered Leyte Gulf uneventfully, and took part in the initial assault on 20 October. Her men worked at fever pace under enemy air attack as they launched their landing craft and serviced other small craft engaged in this triumphant return to the Philippines, and on 22 October, she withdrew for Hollandia. During the next month, she made two voyages from New Guinea to Leyte, ferrying reinforcements, and evacuating casualties.

Asunder was a funeral doom/death metal band that formed in 1998 in Oakland, California. Their drummer/vocalist, Dino Sommese, has also been a member of Ghoul, and Dystopia, as well as being a session musician for Wolves in the Throne Room. Guitarist John Gossard was also the guitarist and vocalist of Bay Area black metal band Weakling, as well as another band entitled The Gault. Salvador Raya played bass for the band Laudanum and currently works as a recording engineer at Earhammer Studios in Oakland.
In 2010, the band announced that it had split in November 2009. In the wake of the band's demise, John Gossard has formed a new funeral doom band, Dispirit. The fate of the band's final work, a collaboration with Corrupted, is unknown, although a live version recorded by a radio station has surfaced on the Internet.
