Fresh!

Fresh! is the debut album from Australian dance-pop singer/songwriter Gina G. The album peaked at No. 12 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 27 on the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers chart. The album is certified Silver (marking sales of 60,000) in the United Kingdom.

The lead single "Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit", written by Simon Tauber and Steve Rodway, was first released in March 1996 in the UK. It was the selected as the UK's entry for the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest. Despite placing 8th, the song went on to achieve worldwide success, peaking at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 the following year. It is one of very few Eurovision entries to chart in the US market. The album went on feature five additional singles, four of which were co-written by Gina G. "I Belong To You" and "Fresh!" (both peaked at No. 6 in the UK), "Ti Amo" (No. 11), "Gimme Some Love" (No. 25) and the final single "Every Time I Fall", the first ballad to be released from the album, (No. 52).

DJ Fresh

Daniel Stein, best known as DJ Fresh, is an English record producer, DJ and musician known for making electronic music. He was one of the principal members of the drum and bass group, Bad Company, alongside Darren White (dBridge), Jason Maldini, and Michael Wojcicki (Vegas). He also owns and runs the pioneering drum and bass label Breakbeat Kaos with Adam F.

DJ Fresh released his third studio album, Nextlevelism in October 2012 on Ministry of Sound Recordings, which includes the two No. 1 hits singles "Louder" and "Hot Right Now" – the UK's first dubstep and drum and bass No. 1's respectively - "The Power", "The Feeling" and "Gold Dust".

Currently working on his fourth studio album – due for release at the end of 2014 – DJ Fresh recently scored two top five hit singles with “Earthquake”, a collaboration with Mad Decent label boss Diplo featuring Dominique Young Unique and “Dibby Dibby Sound” a collaboration with St Louis producer Jay Fay also featuring the legendary garage vocalist Ms. Dynamite.

Fresh (Shawn Desman album)

Fresh is the third studio album by Canadian R&B and dance-pop singer Shawn Desman. It was first released in Canada on August 3, 2010. The album was preceded by its Top 20-peaking lead single "Shiver" and the Platinum-certified dual singles "Electric" and "Night Like This".

Fresh (Kool & the Gang song)

"Fresh" is a song by the R&B funk group Kool & the Gang. Released as a single in 1985 from the group's album of the previous year, Emergency, the song peaked at #11 on the UK chart, #9 on the U.S. Hot 100 charts, and was number one on both the U.S. R&B and dance charts. The song introduced a new meaning to the word "fresh", meaning "good".

The action in the music video references the fairy tale Cinderella with the band performing the song at the ball. You then see two overweight women, the Ugly Sisters, eating sandwiches, and a girl, Cinderella, cleaning the floor.

Popular culture

On Edward Yang's 1986 film The Terrorizers this song is played in a dance club when the young woman wants to attract a man so she and a criminal gang can steal his money.

Fresh (1994 film)

Fresh is a 1994 crime film written and directed by Boaz Yakin in his film directorial debut, also produced by Randy Oslow and Lawrence Bender (seen in a cameo appearance). It was scored by Stewart Copeland, a member of The Police.

Marketed as a hip hop 'hood film, Fresh went relatively unnoticed by the public, but won critical acclaim. An emotional coming of age story, it offers a realistic glimpse of the dangerous life in New York City's projects during the crack epidemic. "There's shocking resonance to the notion of a grade-school boy who's become a criminal out of sheer pragmatism," wrote Entertainment Weekly's Owen Gleiberman.

Summary

Michael, nicknamed Fresh (portrayed by Sean Nelson), is a 12-year-old kid running drugs for gangsters, notably Esteban (Giancarlo Esposito). Inspired by the chess lessons of his father, an alcoholic speed-chess master (Samuel L. Jackson), Fresh devises and executes a brilliant plan to extricate himself and his drug-addicted sister (N'Bushe Wright) from their hopeless lives.

Fresh (IDE)

Fresh, an internet community supported project started by John Found, is an integrated development environment (IDE) for flat assembler language. The primary goal of Fresh is to make programming in assembly as fast and efficient as in other visual languages, without sacrificing the small application size and the raw power of assembly language.

Because Fresh is the logical continuation of the FASM project in the area of visual programming, it is perfectly compatible with FASM. Fresh can be used for Windows programming, but also to create programs for any OS that FASM supports - DOS, Linux, FreeBSD, BeOS, MenuetOS - the same way as is done in FASM.
