Danny Rampling

Danny Rampling is a British house music DJ and is widely credited as one of the original founders of the UK's rave/club scene. His long career began in the early 1980s playing hip-hop, soul and funk around numerous bars and clubs in London. He was the first winner of the No 1 DJ in the World Award by DJ Magazine in 1991 and is a three time DJ Awards recipient. In has career he sold over 1 million compilation albums.

Early career

Ibiza

During a holiday in Ibiza in 1987, Rampling, along with fellow DJs Paul Oakenfold and Nicky Holloway, attended Amnesia, a then open air nightclub in San Rafael. At the club the group were introduced to the unique eclectic style of DJ Alfredo, playing, among other genres, the new house music that had been exported from the USA. The group also discovered the music's powerful combination with the drug Ecstasy (MDMA), that reduced inhibitions and created a sense of oneness on the dance floor.

England

Upon his return to England, Rampling, along with his then wife, Jenny, attempted to recreate the Ibiza experience by promoting what is regarded as the UK's first Balearic rave club, Shoom. Shoom ran for three years, starting out at a gym in Southwark, London. It was a launching point for acid house culture , while contributing to worldwide dance culture. Rampling had planned a party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Shoom, which would be held at Cable Nightclub on 8 December 2012.

French Kiss (Kara song)

"French Kiss" (フレンチキス, Furenchi Kisu) is the tenth Japanese single by South Korean girl group Kara. It was released on November 27, 2013 with seven editions. It serves as the lead single for their compilation album Best Girls, which was released on the same day. It is the last single to feature former members Nicole Jung and Kang Jiyoung, after their departure from the group's Korean agency, DSP Media, on 2014.

Background

The initial rumors about the single's release started in October, when a South Korean digital store put the single and the album Best Girls for pre-order, with the release day stated for November 27. They were later confirmed by the group's Korean label, DSP Media, and by their Japanese label, Universal Sigma, on October 31. With the confirmation, they revealed tracklists, jacket covers and prices for both single and album.

French Kiss (Bob Welch album)

French Kiss is the solo debut by former Fleetwood Mac singer/guitarist Bob Welch. The songs, with the exception of "Sentimental Lady", were intended for a projected third album by Welch's previous band, Paris. However, the group fell apart in 1977 before recording could begin. So instead, Welch used these songs for his debut solo album.

For the most part, French Kiss presents a mix of hard rock guitar, disco-ish rhythms and sweeping strings. The big hits were "Ebony Eyes" (with backing vocals by Juice Newton), which peaked at #14 in the US, and a revised version of "Sentimental Lady", which peaked at #8, a song that Welch had originally recorded with Fleetwood Mac in 1972, for the album Bare Trees. "Hot Love, Cold World" also became a minor hit, which peaked at #31.

The album itself peaked at #12 in the US and later went platinum. It is currently Welch's best-selling album.

French Kiss is an American live action short film. It was written and directed by John Gray, and produced by David Beebe, Kim Moses, and Ian Sander. The film was produced by Marriott Hotel's creative content studio in partnership with Sander Moses Productions, and was completely shot in Paris, France.

The film is centered on Ethan, an American in Paris on a business trip. Margaux is a beautiful young Parisian who admires Ethan from afar. Determined to remedy his obsession with work, a mischievous Margaux tricks Ethan into following her and her string of clues all over the city.

The film was released in select theaters and online via YouTube on Marriott's website on May 19, 2015. As of June 9, 2015 it has over 6 million views.

Danny (footballer)

Daniel Miguel Alves Gomes (born 7 August 1983), known as Danny, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Russian club FC Zenit Saint Petersburg as an attacking midfielder.

He spent most of his career in Russia in service of Dynamo Moscow and Zenit, where he arrived at the age of 21 from Sporting.

Danny represented Portugal at the 2010 World Cup and the 2004 Olympics.

Club career

Marítimo / Sporting

Born to Portuguese parents in Caracas, Venezuela, Danny moved to the island of Madeira at a young age. There, he developed his football skills in the youth teams of C.S. Marítimo, making his professional debut in a 2–1 league home win against Gil Vicente F.C. on 1 October 2001. A few months later he scored his first goal in a 1–2 loss at S.C. Salgueiros, also being sent off in the 60th minute; he finished his first season with five goals in 20 games.

Having signed to Sporting Clube de Portugal for €2.1 million after that sole season, Danny was immediately loaned back to Marítimo, returning in June 2004 and going on to appear in 12 official matches for the Lions.

Danny aka The Danny Bonaduce Show was a short lived talk show. Its only memorable episode was the first episode when he had his fellow cast members from The Partridge Family, as his guests.
