James Gang

The James Gang was a rock band formed in Cleveland, Ohio in 1966. The band enjoyed moderate success with the singles "Funk #49" and "Walk Away," and are perhaps best remembered as the first popular band to feature the guitarist/vocalist Joe Walsh, who later became a member of the Eagles.

History

Drummer Jim Fox first played with the Cleveland area band The Outsiders but left them in 1965 to attend college. After they scored a national hit the following year with "Time Won't Let Me," Fox returned temporarily to play with them after their other drummer was drafted. After leaving them to return to school once again, Fox, heavily influenced by the sound of British outfits, such as The Beatles, The Who and The Yardbirds, began to think about forming his own band, teaming up with schoolmate Ronnie Silverman (guitar), bassist Tom Kriss and keyboardist Phil Giallombardo in 1966. Reportedly, it was Silverman who suggested their name, "James Gang."

The James Gang's earliest lineup consisted of drummer Fox, Tom Kriss (bass), Ronnie Silverman (guitar), Phil Giallombardo (vocals, keyboards) and, after auditioning some twenty five candidates for lead guitar, the band decided to go with Greg Grandillo (who was later with another popular Cleveland outfit Rainbow Canyon), who was quickly replaced by Dennis Chandler, who was then succeeded by John "Mouse" Michalski (from the Count Five, who'd just scored a national hit with "Psychotic Reaction"). But Fox was still not entirely happy with the lineup.

The New Age Outlaws

The New Age Outlaws was a professional wrestling tag team.

Originally known as The New Age Outlaws in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and wrestling under the ring names "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn, the duo achieved high levels of success and became extremely popular in the late 1990s as members of the second incarnation of the professional wrestling stable D-Generation X. The promotion has described James and Gunn as "the most popular duo of WWE's Attitude Era." In the same time period, The New Age Outlaws had the third highest merchandise sales in the WWF after Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock.

Upon parting ways with the WWF, the team reformed in several promotions, mostly notably in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling where, under the ringnames B.G. James and Kip James, they performed collectively as the James Gang and then as the Voodoo Kin Mafia, the latter of which was a play on the initials of their former boss in the WWF Vince McMahon. The team returned to periodic active competition in WWE under its original name in 2013 (with both members also having full-time backstage jobs with the company as well).

    Wildfire

    by: James Gang

I pull switches for the rail
She takes pictures all night long
    Breaks my heart *****************
(Takes my hard-earned dough all saved')
    Makes me feel all alone
Caught her upstairs when she lies
    Her last affair never ends
When we're out her hungry eyes
Make love - ooh - to all my friends
So pour me one more cup of coffee
Got time (or DIAL UP') for one more telephone call
Either way things don't look so good
Nobody wants to help me at all
If she answers she won't say
She got secrets she won't show
    I'll teach her proper ways
Gonna teach her never to say no
    She's wildfire, set to burn
    Wildfire, set to burn
You bet your ass she never thinks
    Of anyone else but her
So pour me one more cup of coffee
