Koko B. Ware

James Ware (born June 20, 1957), better known by his ring name Koko B. Ware is a retired American professional wrestler who made his professional wrestling debut in 1978. He rose in popularity during the mid 1980s, while appearing in the World Wrestling Federation, where he was initially a strong mid-carder before he eventually became a jobber to the stars. Ware came to the ring with a blue-and-yellow macaw named Frankie, and would flap his arms like a bird while dancing before and after his matches. Before joining the WWF, Ware worked as a part of several tag teams, first with Bobby Eaton in Memphis and then later on with Norvell Austin as one half of the P.Y.T. Express in several promotions. Ware also holds the distinction of having competed in the first ever match on the first episode of Monday Night Raw in a losing effort against Yokozuna.

Early years

Koko spent his early days in the sport in the Mid-South, Georgia and other NWA territories. Early in his career, Koko Ware (as he was then known) did not find great success, learning the ropes and paying his dues both in Jerry Jarrett’s Continental Wrestling Association and Nick Gulas’ territory in the south.

In 2012, frankie magazine was awarded Australian Magazine of The Year at the Australian Magazine Awards, as well as winning out over both Vogue and Harper's Bazaar for the Australian Fashion Magazine of The Year.

frankie magazine was launched in October 2004 by editor Louise Bannister and creative director Lara Burke. In early 2008, Bannister was replaced by Jo Walker as editor, with Bannister becoming publisher.

frankie magazine is owned and published by niche publisher Morrison Media, and makes up "frankiepress" along with its men's publication, Smith Journal.

Readership

The magazine's audience has grown gigantically since its inception, and is now estimated to be 286,000 globally. Despite the Global Financial Crisis which saw Australian magazine sales drop 3%, frankie magazine's circulation rose by 31.60% in 2009. This made frankie magazine the fastest growing magazine in Australia. They continued this trend in 2010, with circulation rising another 43.20%, according to the Australian Bureau of Circulation's January–June 2010 audit figures. This was the second year in a row that they had the highest growth out of all Australian magazines. In comparison, Harper's Bazaar had an increase of 9.04% over the same time period.

Shaw, Washington, D.C.

Shaw is a neighborhood located in the Northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C., named after Union Colonel Robert Gould Shaw, the commander of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry during the American Civil War.

Geography

Shaw is roughly bounded by M Street, NW or Massachusetts Avenue NW to the south; New Jersey Avenue, NW to the east; Florida Avenue, NW to the north; and 11th Street, NW to the west. The area also includes the U Street Corridor, which is the commercial hub of the Shaw area, extending westward to 16th Street NW.

Florida Avenue marks the northern boundary with the adjacent neighborhoods of Columbia Heights and LeDroit Park. The area consists of gridded streets lined with small Victorian rowhouses. It is dominated by Howard University--technically just north of Shaw in the Pleasant Plains neighborhood--and the shops and theatres along U Street and centered along 7th Street NW, the original commercial hub of the area prior to redevelopment in the wake of the 1968 riots and Green Line Metrorail construction.

Leslie Ann Shaw Thays (b. Lima, 27 February 1989) musically known as Shaw is a Peruvian model, singer, dancer and actress. She is best known for representing Peru in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival and being the Runner-Up on the first season of El Gran Show 2011.

Singer

Leslie Shaw belonged to the Peruvian pop group Glow, who released their first single "Signos" in 2008.

In 2010 she decided to pursue a solo career and released her first EP, Destrozado y sin control along with two videos, "Destrozado y sin control" and "Una vez más", both via MTV (Latin America).

In 2011 she represented Peru in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival.

She participated as a "heroine" in El Gran Show 2011, she was the Runner-Up of the season.

While she was on "El Gran Show", she took on the main role in the theater adaptation of the popular Peruvian TV soap opera, "Carmin".

Shaw is currently participating in the TV show Tu cara me suena (Perú).
