Koko B. Ware

James Ware (born June 20, 1957), better known by his ring name Koko B. Ware is a retired American professional wrestler who made his professional wrestling debut in 1978. He rose in popularity during the mid 1980s, while appearing in the World Wrestling Federation, where he was initially a strong mid-carder before he eventually became a jobber to the stars. Ware came to the ring with a blue-and-yellow macaw named Frankie, and would flap his arms like a bird while dancing before and after his matches. Before joining the WWF, Ware worked as a part of several tag teams, first with Bobby Eaton in Memphis and then later on with Norvell Austin as one half of the P.Y.T. Express in several promotions. Ware also holds the distinction of having competed in the first ever match on the first episode of Monday Night Raw in a losing effort against Yokozuna.

Early years

Koko spent his early days in the sport in the Mid-South, Georgia and other NWA territories. Early in his career, Koko Ware (as he was then known) did not find great success, learning the ropes and paying his dues both in Jerry Jarrett’s Continental Wrestling Association and Nick Gulas’ territory in the south.

The magazine's audience has grown gigantically since its inception, and is now estimated to be 286,000 globally. Despite the Global Financial Crisis which saw Australian magazine sales drop 3%, frankie magazine's circulation rose by 31.60% in 2009. This made frankie magazine the fastest growing magazine in Australia. They continued this trend in 2010, with circulation rising another 43.20%, according to the Australian Bureau of Circulation's January–June 2010 audit figures. This was the second year in a row that they had the highest growth out of all Australian magazines. In comparison, Harper's Bazaar had an increase of 9.04% over the same time period.

Donna (Ritchie Valens song)

"Donna" is a song sung by Ritchie Valens, featuring the 50s progression. The song was released in 1958 on Del-Fi Records. It reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the following year, becoming Valens' highest-charting single. It was written as a tribute to his high school sweetheart Donna Ludwig.

The song was recorded on December 16, 1958 at the Gold Star Studios in Los Angeles. Bob Keene is listed as being the leader of the session which included Earl Palmer on drums, Buddy Clark on bass, Valens, Rene Hall, Irving Ashby and Carole Kaye on guitars.

"Donna", the second Ritchie Valens single released, was the A side of the influential and more famous song "La Bamba". This single was only one of three, along with the previous single ("Come On, Let's Go"/"Framed" – Del-Fi 4106) and the follow-up ("Fast Freight"/"Big Baby Blues" – Del-Fi 4111) ever released in Valens's lifetime. Original Del-Fi pressings of "Donna"/"La Bamba" include black and sea green labels with circles, later replaced with solid sea green or solid dark green labels. Early 1960s pressings have black labels with sea green "sawtooth" outer edge.
