Fox is an Asian Entertainment TV channel, owned and produced by Fox International Channels, subsidiaries of 21st Century Fox.
In Japan, the channel launched in February 1998 along with other Fox channels such as Fox Crime and Fox Life (now FOX bs238).
In Asia, the channel was in test broadcast on December 2009, broadcasting US TV series in loop. The first Asian provider who carried Fox was SkyCable in the Philippines which launched the channel on 5 January 2010, followed by StarHub TV in Singapore on 1 February 2010. Other TV providers across the region followed thereafter.
Around early-to-mid-February 2012, the Fox wordmark was changed to the Fox HD wordmark (pictured) for all Fox commercials on all Fox channels in the Asian and Filipino television provider networks, including channels which are not in HD. This change is similar to the one done to STAR World. The reason for this change is unknown.
Started in May 2014, all FOX commercials are now added the Facebook page near the time and date showing. The reason of this change is unknown.

On March 10, 2008, News Corporation officially requested a broadcasting license for the FOX International Channels Germany GmbH at the media institute Berlin-Brandenburg (MABB). A month later, the green-light was given for launching the FOX Channel. It launched on May 19, 2008 and became part of the pay television platform Premiere, which was later renamed to Sky Deutschland, in October 2008. As of 2013, FOX Channel can be viewed through most cable operators - as part of a pay-TV package - and Sky Deutschland.
In the beginning, FOX aired HBO television series' like The Sopranos, Sex and the City and Entourage and reruns of shows like The Practice, Magnum, P.I., Law & Order, JAG and The Nanny.
Fox International Channels (FIC) was 21st Century Fox's international multi-media business. It produces and distributes 300+ entertainment, sports, factual and movie channels in 45 languages across Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa, using several brands, including Fox, Fox Sports, Fox Life, National Geographic Channel, Fox Movies Premium and STAR Chinese Movies. Their non-linear brands are Fox Play, Fox Play+ and Nat Geo Play. These brands reach over 1.725 billion households around the world.
In January 2016, the Fox International Channels unit was announced to be split into three divisions, Fox Networks Group Europe, Fox Networks Group Latin America and Fox Networks Group Asia, all reporting to Fox Networks Group CEO Peter Rice and COO Randy Freer. As a result of this reorganization, the Fox International Channels banner is being discontinued.
