Foursome (golf)

A foursome, also known as alternate shot, is a type of match in the sport of golf.

Golfers compete in teams of two, each using one ball, and taking alternate shots until the hole is completed. Team members also take turns in teeing off on each hole, i.e. one player will take the tee shot on odd-numbered holes, and the other on even-numbered holes.

Foursomes is commonly played as match play, with each hole being won by the team that completes it in the fewest shots. This form of golf is often played in team golf competitions such as the Ryder Cup,Solheim Cup, Seve Trophy and the Presidents Cup. Foursomes can also be played in stroke play competitions, with the winners being the team who have taken the fewest number of strokes to complete a set number of holes.

Greensomes

Greensomes, also known as Scotch Foursomes, follows the same format as foursomes except that both players tee off on every hole. The better ball is chosen and alternate strokes are then played to complete the hole.

Golf

Golf is a club and ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible.

Golf is one of the few ball games that do not require a standardized playing area. The game is played on a course with an arranged progression of either nine or 18 holes. Each hole on the course must contain a tee box to start from, and a putting green containing the actual cup. There are other standard forms of terrain in between, such as the fairway, rough, and hazards, but each hole on a course is unique in its specific layout and arrangement.

Golf is played for the lowest number of strokes by an individual, known as stroke play, or the lowest score on the most individual holes in a complete round by an individual or team, known as match play. Stroke play is the most commonly seen format at all levels.

Golf (also known as Polish Polka, Polish Poker, Turtle, Hara Kiri, Poison, or Crazy Nines) is a card game where players try to earn the lowest number of points (as in golf, the sport) over the course of nine deals (or "holes" to further use golfing terminology). It is a game for four or more players using a double-deck of 108 cards, and has little in common with its solitaire cousin.

Deal

Four or more players use two standard 52-card decks plus 2 or 4 Jokers . Each player is dealt 6 cards face down from the deck, the remainder is placed face down and the top card is turned up to start the discard pile beside it. Players arrange their 6 cards in 2 rows of 3 in front of them and turn 2 of these cards face up. This arrangement is maintained throughout the game and players always have 6 cards in front of them.

Play

The object is for players to reduce the value of the cards in front of them by either swapping them for lesser value cards or by pairing them up with cards of equal rank and try to get the lower score.The highest score lost the game and the lower score wins the game. You have to play 10 games.

Golf (1995 video game)

Golf, known in Japan as T&E Virtual Golf (Japanese: T＆Ｅバーチャルゴルフ, Hepburn: T&E Bācharu Gorufu), is a golf video game that was released within months of the Virtual Boy console's launch. Golf was developed and published by T&E Soft in Japan and published by Nintendo in North America. It was directed by Tadashi Nakatsuji and its sound specialist was Ken Kojima. The game uses standard golf rules and is set in the fictional 18-hole Papillion Golf & Country Club. Hazards include water, sand traps, trees, and deep rough grass, and players can choose their club and various aspects of the club's swing, including speed, direction, stance, swing power, and the ball impact point. The direction the ball will go in is determined by these things as well as the speed and direction of the wind. It is displayed in the Virtual Boy's standard red and black color scheme with 3D effects by use of a 3D processor. It was met with critical praise for its controls and physics and mixed reviews for its graphics. Nintendo Power called it the third best Virtual Boy release of its year.

Foursome (promoted as Playboy's Foursome) is an adult reality dating series, which has to date aired five seasons on Playboy TV.

Premise

Based on similar reality dating game shows of the early 2000s like Blind Date and The 5th Wheel, Foursome gathers 4 singles, 2 men and 2 women, and bases them in a Los Angeles (and, in some later episodes, New York City) mansion for 24 hours. Throughout the experience daters are introduced, profiled, and made to participate in erotic activities both in the mansion and off-site.

Playmates and models generally instigate the first round sexually-oriented party games, followed by "field trips" to Hollywood clubs, massage parlors, or trendy bars. What transpires between the participants varies depending on factors such as chemistry. In some episodes, they may engage in one or more sexual encounters; in others, they may go to bed separately without doing so; occasionally, a participant may be so dissatisfied that he or she leaves the mansion early. Participants also occasionally "hook up" with the facilitators of the various activities in lieu of or in addition to their fellow residents.
