Bonk may refer to:
Bonk is the debut studio album by Australian rock band Big Pig. It was released in March 1988 on White Label Records. The album went gold, then platinum in Australia with three top-twenty singles ("Hungry Town", "Breakaway" and "Big Hotel"). The album was released in America by A&M Records in 1988, and the music video for "Breakaway" was played on MTV. "Breakaway" was featured on the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure soundtrack and "Hungry Town" on the Young Einstein soundtrack. "Breakaway" and "Money God" were used in the Miami Vice TV series in the 1980s.
It was re-issued in 1992 by Mushroom Records.
All songs written by O. Witer, A. Scaglione, N. Disbray, and S. Abeyratne, except where noted, according to Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA).
In endurance sports such as cycling and running, hitting the wall or the bonk describes a condition caused by the depletion of glycogen stores in the liver and muscles, which manifests itself by sudden fatigue and loss of energy. Milder instances can be remedied by brief rest and the ingestion of food or drinks containing carbohydrates. The condition can usually be avoided by ensuring that glycogen levels are high when the exercise begins, maintaining glucose levels during exercise by eating or drinking carbohydrate-rich substances, or by reducing exercise intensity.
The term bonk for cycling fatigue is presumably derived from the original meaning "to hit", and dates back at least half a century. A 2005 video issued by the British Transport Films Collection contains several old films, one of which, entitled "Cyclists Special", a color film produced in 1955, tells the story of a party of cyclists touring the English countryside. At one point they stop for refreshments and the film's commentator states that if they didn't rest and eat they would get "the bonk".
Forgiveness is the third studio album by Canadian country music artist Jim Witter. It was released on January 14, 2003 by Curb Records. The album was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year in 2004. It was also nominated at the Juno Awards of 2004 for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year.
In Dream is the fifth studio album from British recording group Editors. It was produced by the band themselves and released on 2 October 2015 through PIAS Recordings.
On 15 July 2015 the band announced the album via Facebook and said in a statement: "Our last record was the sound of us learning to walk again, with new legs! In Dream, our first self produced album, is us diving into the computer, a real studio record, made in isolation by the 5 of us". According to Tom Smith, the record is driven by a belief that "music can be both pop and experimental."
"It feels like a progression from our third record. It was very electronic, but I feel like the last record had to be a guitar record to prove to ourselves that we could be a band," says Smith. "To us, it's interesting if it has a darkness. Whatever that is. On the lyric side of things, if I was singing about dancefloors or happier or rosier things, it wouldn't ring true for me. I don't think you need to be sad to write a sad song, everybody has a dark side."
Disciplined Breakdown is the third studio album by American post-grunge band Collective Soul. It was first released on March 11, 1997. The album was recorded during a difficult time in the band's career, when they were going through a long lawsuit with their former management, and they also recorded the album in a cabin-like studio due to lack of money.
Despite not being as successful as their past albums, Disciplined Breakdown earned Collective Soul a million-selling album (charting at #16), and produced a couple of hits, in the form of "Precious Declaration" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for four weeks) and "Listen" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for five weeks), which also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, at #65 and #72, respectively.

Bang out the night song
on an old kettle drum
don't ask for no ransom
ain't payin you none
ground to a halt
with suspicion for all
you say ";watch me fly";
I suppose that you're gone
but I don't care to look
don't give me the truth
give me shackles
bang out the night song
from deep in my chest
are you listening?
But last night (Oh last night)
late last night (late last night)
last night, you were forgiveness
And last night (Oh last night)
late last night (late last night)
last night you were the end
walked to the dawn
along rnisery's mile
stopped under a streetlight
and burned off my smile
trust was your mirror
and trust was your fool
are you listenin'and now that I'm gone
give the tears to your friends
I'll take what I'm due
then I'll strangle
bang out the night song
you can beat it to death
you can watch me fly
But last night (Oh last night)
late last night (late last night)
last night, you were forgiveness
And last night (Oh last night)
late last night (late last night)
last night you were the end
raisin' my spirits
my head on the floor
turned around fast
walkin' back to your door
this run of bad luck
stuck like sleep in yer eyes
couldn't see a thing
But last night, late last night
last night, you were forgiveness
oh last night, late last night
last night you were the end
I'm comin' back to ya
no religion to sell
bang out the night song
ain't stuck in this hell
oh last night
late last night
last night you were forgivin
