Forever Blue (Cold Case episode)

"Forever Blue" is the 79th episode of Cold Case. (Episode 10 of Series 4) The team re-investigates the 1968 death of a policeman who was shot in his patrol car. The case was then ruled as a drug bust gone bad, but new evidence reveals that there is more than meets the eye.

Plot

It is the 1960s. The episode begins in a church. Jimmy and Eileen Bruno's third child, a son, is to be baptized, but Jimmy's partner in the police force, Sean 'Coop' Cooper, is late. He arrives and apologizes to Eileen, but Eileen is cold. The two appear to be on some strange terms, an anticipation of what would be discovered as investigations of the episode's case goes on. In the next scene, Sean Cooper is dead in his patrol car.

Back to the present, a convict hoping to benefit from his tip tells Det. Lilly Rush and Lt. John Stillman what he saw as the first person on the scene. He claims that Coop is 'dirty' and was associated with Teddy Burke, a drug dealer in his heyday during the 1960s. It is a lead that would ruin the reputation of Coop.

Cold Case (season 4)

Season four of Cold Case, an American television series, began airing on September 24, 2006 and concluded on May 6, 2007. Season four regular cast members include Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford and Tracie Thoms. This is the only season of the series to feature 24 episodes.

During this season before the season finale "Stalker", Danny Pino guest starred as his character Scotty Valens in an episode of CSI:NY, also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Endless Ocean

Endless Ocean (Forever Blue in Japan) is a video game for the Wii. It is published by Nintendo and was developed by Arika. It was released on August 2, 2007, in Japan, November 9, 2007, in Europe and January 21, 2008 in North America after it had been planned for an October 2007 release.

A sequel entitled Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep was released in Japan on September 17, 2009, and in Europe on February 5, 2010; it was released in North America on February 22, 2010 with the title Endless Ocean: Blue World.

Gameplay

The game is controlled solely using the Wii Remote, with the player using an on-screen cursor to guide their diver. The game features Wi-Fi play over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing two players to dive together. Arika, the game's developer, previously released the games Everblue and Everblue 2 for the PlayStation 2. Both titles featured very similar gameplay to that of Endless Ocean, revolving heavily around scuba diving in search of underwater treasure as well as underwater photography. The Everblue titles are both played from a first person perspective, while Endless Ocean uses both first person and third person perspectives for movement. Additionally, a fixed first person perspective is used for close examination. The game contains mythology about certain animals, like whales and sharks.

MPEG-4 Part 14

MPEG-4 Part 14 or MP4 is a digital multimedia format most commonly used to store video and audio, but can also be used to store other data such as subtitles and still images. Like most modern container formats, it allows streaming over the Internet. The only official filename extension for MPEG-4 Part 14 files is .mp4, but many have other extensions, most commonly .m4a and .m4p. M4A (audio only) is often compressed using AAC encoding (lossy), but can also be in Apple Lossless format. M4P is a protected format which employs DRM technology to restrict copying. MPEG-4 Part 14 (formally ISO/IEC 14496-14:2003) is a standard specified as a part of MPEG-4.

Some devices advertised as "MP4 Players" are simply MP3 Players that also play AMV video or some other video format, and do not necessarily play the MPEG-4 Part 14 format.

History of MP4

MPEG-4 Part 14 is an instance of the more general ISO/IEC 14496-12:2004 (MPEG-4 Part 12: ISO base media file format) which is directly based upon the QuickTime File Format. MPEG-4 Part 14 is essentially identical to the QuickTime file format, but formally specifies support for Initial Object Descriptors (IOD) and other MPEG features. MPEG-4 Part 14 revises and completely replaces Clause 13 of ISO/IEC 14496-1 (MPEG-4 Part 1: Systems), in which the file format for MPEG-4 content was previously specified.
