Food play

Food play can have sexual or non-sexual connotations. It often refers to sitophilia, a form of sexual fetishism in which participants are aroused by erotic situations involving food. The phrase is also used to refer to non-sexual play with food, such as playful and decorative food displays, enjoyment of preparing food, or even a play about food. This article refers to the sitophilia connotation of food play.

Some foods and herbs themselves are purported to cause sexual arousal in and of themselves. Food play overlaps with other fetishes, including wet and messy fetishism, feederism, and nyotaimori. It is differentiated from vorarephilia, AKA "vore", in that food play fetishizes food while vore fetishizes the act of eating a living creature, or being eaten alive.

Practice

Certain fruits (e.g., bananas), vegetables (e.g., cucumbers and zucchinis) and processed meat (e.g., sausages and hot dogs), if used safely, may be fetish objects because they have a phallic shape, and can be substitutes for dildos, useful for vaginal or anal penetration. Other foods are so constituted that they can be sexually penetrated by a male, if an appropriate hole is drilled in them, such as the namesake of American Pie.

Food Records

Food Records was a record label set up in 1984 by David Balfe, who later took on Andy Ross as his partner. Originally formed as an independent record label with distribution going through Rough Trade Distribution, Food also licensed acts though WEA Records, before becoming closely associated with the EMI group's Parlophone label. EMI invested in the label and then in 1994 EMI gained complete control and folded it into Parlophone in 2000.

Food was sold to EMI by David Balfe in 1994. Andy Ross continued running Food as a sub-label of EMI, where it was the record label of Blur, Idlewild, Jesus Jones, Dubstar, The Supernaturals, Octopus and Grass Show.

The Food Christmas EP

In December 1989, Food Records released The Food Christmas EP (FOOD 23) that featured Food artists covering each other's songs. Crazyhead covered Diesel Park West's "Like Princes Do", Jesus Jones covered Crazyhead's "I Don't Want That Kind Of Love" and Diesel Park West covered Jesus Jones' "Info-Freako". The EP was released on CD, 7" vinyl, 12" and a limited gatefold sleeve 12" vinyl.

Food (band)

Food (established 1998) is an experimental jazz band initiated by Ian Bellamy and Thomas Strønen after a coincidental meeting first in Trondheim, Norway and later in Molde 1997. They got two jobs at Moldejazz 1998, that were recorded, and the first album Food (2000) was a fact.

Food is highlighting the delicate balance between Ballamy’s melodic and lyrical playing and the electronic soundscapes and grooves from Strønen. They play as duo as well as with invited guests like on the second, Organic and GM Food. Both of the two first albums was published on Ballamy's short-lived Feral Records, before the quartet moved to Rune Grammofon, where they released two more albums, Veggie (2002) and Last Supper (2004). These albums were all with Henriksen and Eilertsen. Ballamy and Strønen played duo featuring Maria Kannegaard and Ashley Slater for the 5th album Molecular Gastronomy (2006). The next two releases incorporated Nils Petter Molvær, and others.

Play is the third biggest cellular network in Poland. PLAY uses EGSM 900 and GSM1800 for its 2G services, UMTS 2100 and UMTS 900 for 3G and LTE1800 and LTE2100 for LTE. Its MCC is 260-06. Thanks to domestic roaming with Polkomtel (Plus) and Centertel (Orange), Play is a nationwide cellular carrier.

As of November 3, 2013, Play Mobile has 3288 EGSM 900 BTS, 4143 UMTS 2100 nodeB and 2175 UMTS 900 nodeB's. UMTS 900 and UMTS 2100 network Play calls the 4G network. Currently 82% of population is covered with Play's native 4G network and 40% of population with 2G network. 4G is available in more than 300 cities and towns around Poland. Play started building its 3G network at the beginning of its existence (2007) and announced that its goal is to cover all of Poland with UMTS while provide GSM services through roaming. Play began building its GSM network in March 2009 in apparent bid to reduce roaming costs. EGSM 900 BTS and UMTS 900 nodeB use the same licence frequency. In place when are EGSM 900 usually is not UMTS 900. Play Mobile Broadband (Play Online) products does not used 2G network.
