Fly!

Fly! is a flight simulator for PC and Apple Macintosh computers developed by Terminal Reality and published by Gathering of Developers. It includes simulation of air traffic control features as well as aircraft's on-board systems, and was acclaimed for its highly detailed fully working interactive cockpits. Featured aircraft were exclusively fixed-wing light to medium aircraft. An enhanced version, Fly! 2K, and add-on, Wilco's 737 for Fly!, were released in 2000. A sequel, Fly! II, was released in 2001.

Lyrical interpretation

MUSICInsideU says that "Fly is about the battle between who people think he is and tie him down to, and who he really is. "These people never notice me. Am I the only one who thinks it's hard." Phillip breaks other people's categories of him, mixing rock guitar solos with his typical acoustic sound. His almost-country style voice also blends with darker rock lyrics in the new single Fly." He added "The meaning of Phillip Phillips' Fly is about who he is - applied to you, it's about who you are. Outside, there's "the busy street... these people never notice me." I don't fit in, says Phillip, "it's hard to say what's on my mind." The questions are "give up? How should I survive?" A part feels like just giving in and blending into the "two thousand faces" of the crowd. The deeper part of Phillip rebels against just being like everyone else. "Think your fight is over? It's only so much closer." Phillip won't give up breaking out of the walls of this "cruel maze" of a nameless society: "I reach my hands to the sky... and fly!""

Fly (EP)

Fly is the second EP released by rock band Sick Puppies. It was released in 2003 and features 6 tracks; including a remix by Josh Abrahams, an Enhanced CD featuring the making of the "Fly" music video and a rare version of the clip exclusive to the CD. It is the last release to feature Chris Mileski on drums.

Plankton (SpongeBob SquarePants)

Sheldon James Plankton, or simply Plankton, is a character in the Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. Although usually an antagonist, he is frequently shown as a protagonist or an antihero. He is voiced by Mr. Lawrence and first appeared in the episode "Plankton!" on July 31, 1999. Plankton was created and designed by Stephen Hillenburg. The character has also appeared in video games and other merchandise based on the series. Mostly, he has been featured on countless toys, games, plushies, and other popular toys and games.

Role in SpongeBob SquarePants

Plankton is the nemesis, but former best friend, of Mr. Krabs. He operates the Chum Bucket, located directly across the street from Krabs' restaurant, the Krusty Krab. The restaurant primarily sells chum, considered mostly inedible by the residents of Bikini Bottom, and as a result, his restaurant is a total commercial failure. His primary goal in the series is to put Krabs out of business (thus gaining a monopoly on the restaurant business) by stealing the "Krabby Patty formula", a secret recipe used to make the Krusty Krab's flagship sandwich; however, every attempt to do so has ultimately failed. The only time he has successfully stolen it and made perfect Krabby Patties to expand his business was in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, though this was short-lived. He is often stepped on while trying to leave the Krusty Krab with the formula. It has been stated that Mr. Krabs and Plankton were once best friends, but a dispute over the Krabby Patty recipe ended their friendship.

Karen, Kenya

Karen is an affluent suburb of Nairobi in Kenya, lying south west of the city centre.

It is generally believed that the suburb is named after Karen Blixen, the Danish author of the colonial memoir Out of Africa; her farm occupied the land where the suburb now stands. Blixen herself declared in her later writings that "the residential district of Karen" was "named after me". And Remy Martin, the developer who bought the farm in 1931 and converted it into residential lots for Nairobi's fast-growing population, confirmed that he named the neighborhood for Blixen.

The provenance of the name may in fact be more subtly complex. Blixen herself was known to her friends in Africa not as "Karen" but as "Tanne". The farm, a coffee plantation, was officially incorporated as the "Karen Coffee Company", and was owned by her extended family, most of whom lived in Denmark. The chairman of the board was her uncle, Aage Westenholtz. Westenholtz may have named the company after his own daughter, Karen.
