Maureen Ann "Moe" Tucker (born August 26, 1944) is an American drummer, singer and musician best known for having been the drummer for the New York City-based experimental avant-garde ensemble the Velvet Underground.
Maureen Tucker was born in Jackson Heights, Queens, and grew up in Levittown, New York, in a middle-class Catholic family. Her father, James, was a house painter and her mother, Margaret, was a clerical worker. She had an older brother, Jim, who was friends with Sterling Morrison, and a sister Margo. As a teenager she was an avid fan of Babatunde Olatunji, whom she first heard on the Murray the K radio show. Olatunji, along with Bo Diddley and the Rolling Stones, inspired her to become a musician.
Tucker began playing the drums in 1963, at age 19. Without any formal instruction, she learned by playing along with popular songs on a second-hand drum kit.
When she was asked to join the Velvet Underground, Tucker had dropped out of Ithaca College and was working for IBM as a keypunch operator. The band's original percussionist, Angus Maclise, had left in November 1965 because he felt the band sold out when it took a paying gig. Tucker was drafted because Velvets guitarist Sterling Morrison remembered her as the younger sister of one of his college friends who played the drums. Tucker was frequently noted for her androgynous appearance.

Fired Up is a studio album released by country music artist Dan Seals. It was released in 1994 under the Warner Bros. label. It produced two unsuccessful singles. The song, "Gentleman of Leisure" was written by Folk Rock musician, Jesse Winchester who would later record it for his 1999 album of the same name.
A Public Affair is the fifth studio album by American pop singer Jessica Simpson. The album was released on August 26, 2006 in the United States by Epic Records. The album is Simpson's first effort following her divorce from Nick Lachey in early 2006.
The album was produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Cory Rooney, Scott Storch, Stargate and Lester Mendez. Simpson appears as a co-writer of nine of the thirteen songs on the album. A Public Affair received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who complimented its musical diversity from Simpson's previous albums, while also criticizing its length. The album debuted at #5 on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 101,000 copies. A Public Affair has sold 500,000 units in the US and 1,000,000 copies worldwide to date. It is the last pop album Simpson released before switching to country music.
Three singles were released from the record, the lead single, "A Public Affair" was the album's most successful single, became Simpson's sixth top-twenty single in the US and her third song to reach number 14 tied with "With You" (2004) and "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" (2005). The next single, "I Belong to Me", failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The third single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" was released as a promo single. Her version of the song barely made the Pop 100, and failed to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart, however, it charted to no. 20 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, which is equivalent to no. 120. Simpson's version has new lyrics and only preserves the chorus of the song.
This thing is built like a war machine
Burning up red hot like kerosene
This wrecking ball is about to drop
Once we start rolling we'll never stop
You'd better run and hide
'Cause we're about to play with fire
We're not turning around this time, let's get fired up
We're not turning around this time, let's get fired up
Game, set, match!
Don't pause, don't bluff, just play to win
This timber box is set to blow
Light the fuse, watch them fall like dominoes
You'd better run and hide
'Cause we're about to play with fire
We're not turning around this time, let's get fired up
We're not turning it upside down, let's get fired up
Come with us if you want to live
Bring what you've got, what you've got to give
We're stirrin' dynamite
We're gonna burn the mother down tonight
Let's get fired up
Let's get fired up
Let's get fired up
Let's get fired up
