Fight Now TV is a American English language specialty channel devoted to airing programming related to wrestling, boxing, mixed martial arts, and other combatant sports. Along with airing live events, Fight Now TV also airs fight-related programming such as news, news magazines, taped sports events, and more.

The channel launched on May 24, 2011 and was founded and owned by Channel Zero Inc,media entrepreneur Mike R. Garrow, 6-time UFC champion and MMA legend Randy Couture and others. FIGHT NOW TV is the only 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week combat sports channel in the nation. The network's mandate is to bring the best battles, fiercest fights and stunning knockouts to America. FIGHT NOW TV caters to fight fans of every genre, giving them a front row seat to compelling coverage of MMA, boxing, wrestling/grappling, Muay Thai, kickboxing and other combat sports. Now TV

Now TV (stylised as now TV; Chinese: Now 寬頻電視; pinyin: Now Kuānpín Diànshì; Jyutping: Now fun1 pan4 din6 si6; Cantonese Yale: Now fūn pàhn dihn sih) is a pay-TV service provider in Hong Kong operated by PCCW Media Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PCCW. It provides 197 TV channels including 176 channels branded under now TV (32 channels in HD), 21 channels from TVB Network Vision (1 channel in HD), and over 30 video on demand categories. Launched on 26 September 2003, its TV signal is transmitted with IPTV technology through HKT's fixed broadband network.

Now TV is the largest pay-TV operator in Hong Kong in terms of number of subscribers, number of channels, number of HD channels and quantity of VOD contents. The word "Now" is abbreviated from "Network Of the World".

History and establishment

Launched in March 1998, PCCW's services included a wide range of information and entertainment, such as news, video-on-demand (VOD), music videos, home-shopping, home-banking and educational content. iTV had some 67,000 subscribers at the end of 2000.

Now TV (UK)

Now TV (stylised as NOW TV) is an internet television service owned by Sky plc. It was first announced in February 2012, and launched in the United Kingdom on 17 July 2012. The service is available to watch via computer, various mobile devices, some game consoles and set-top boxes, with a Now TV branded box launched in July 2013. It is not viewable via Sky's digital satellite television service, or through the Sky Go Internet service.

History

Now TV commenced service in July 2012 by offering only films at first, adding sports in March 2013, and entertainment channels in October 2013. Film and entertainment channels are accessed by paying a monthly fee, and sports on an ad-hoc basis ("pay as you go"). Now TV is designed for people who have no existing pay TV service.

Now TV is available via the web on Mac OS or Windows, as an app on Android and iOS devices, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, and LG Smart TVs, as well as Apple TV, Roku, Now TV Box and YouView set-top boxes, its Sky Sports Day Pass content on Apple's AirPlay, and its full range of services on both the Roku Streaming Stick and as a Google Cast link to Chromecast, which are plug-ins for modern flatscreen TVs through the HDMI connector. It is not currently available on the Amazon Fire TV set-top box. The service offers streams up to 720p resolution depending on the playback device and uses adaptive bitrate streaming to minimise disruption.

Now TV (Hong Kong TV channel)

Now TV is a multi-channel digital satellite TV and IPTV channel service in Hong Kong and operated by PCCW Limited.

Now TV Satellite Channel

Now TV (Network of the World) is a 24-hour General Entertainment Features news (Through Now News, Broadcast in Cantonese), Sports, Internet and Video Gaming cortesy of Gamer TV and Adventure. This channel is now available in AsiaSat 3S satellite and other cable affiliates across Asia.

Trivia

As a matter of interest and trivia to the populace of Hong Kong, during its initial stages timing was not featured as part of official programming schedules. Neither local nor country timings were shown on timetables and schedules, and only certain teasers and promotional videos displayed the timing for new programmes.

In 2013, NowTV obtained an official license to air its own programmes. Its first drama production, in cooperation with Huace Entertainment, is "The Virtuous Queen of Han", a historical costume biopic depicting the life of Empress Wei Zifu, produced at an approximate budget of 1,000,000RMB.
