Ferdi Elmas (born 13 February 1985 in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor.
He qualifies for both Dutch and Turkish citizenship as his mother is Dutch and his father is Turkish. Formerly, he played for Ajax for over nine years in his youth, having come through the ranks of the club's elite Youth Team. He continued his career in Dutch football after transferring to RKC Waalwijk. In 2004 he moved to Çaykur Rizespor, before completing a loan switch to Ankaraspor. During the summer transfer window of 2008, the Istanbul giants Galatasaray signed the player on a 3-year deal, expiring in June 2011. The transfer was a player-swap, with Uğur Akdemir being the player who left the team.
He typically plays in the central midfield, however he has been playing on the left hand side at times, for instance for the Ankaraspor club.
He was released by Galatasaray S.K. after a season after signing and signed a new deal with Turkish First Division team Karabükspor. In 2013 he was playing for FK Baku in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
Elmas, Su Masu in Sardinian language, is a comune (municipality) of the Cagliari metropolitan area in the Province of Cagliari in the Italian region of Sardinia, located about 8 kilometres (5 mi) northwest of Cagliari.
Until 1989 Elmas was a district of Cagliari. It is best known locally as the location for the airport which serves Cagliari, some 7 kilometres (4 mi) to the east to the town. According to 2011 census, it has 8,949 inhabitants.
