Amida (阿弥陀) is a Japanese ladder climbing puzzle video game developed by Sofix and published by Coconuts Japan for the Game Boy exclusively in Japan. It was released in Japan on Oct 23, 1990 and never saw a release in another territory. The game requires players to navigate the main character safely across several pre-set bridges. Each bridge is composed of a number of obstacles that the character will blindly navigate into. The player can utilize an animated platform to redirect the main character as they move through the stage. The game features ten main levels. Each level is further sub divided into 10 separate levels (ex. 1-1, 1-2, etc.) similar to other platform games like Super Mario Bros.

Amida (Greek: Ἄμιδα) was an ancient city located where modern Diyarbakır, Turkey now stands. The Roman writers Ammianus Marcellinus and Procopius consider it a city of Mesopotamia, but it may be more properly viewed as belonging to Armenia Major.
The city was located on the right bank of the Tigris. The walls are lofty and substantial, and constructed of the ruins of ancient edifices (see Spolia). As the place is well adapted for a commercial city, it is probable that Amida was a town of considerable antiquity.
Amid(a), also known by various names throughout its long history, was established as an Assyrian settlement, circa the 3rd millennium BC. The oldest artefact from Amida is the famous stele of king Naram-Sin also believed to be from third millennia BC. The name Amida first appears in the writings of Assyrian King Adad Nirari (C. 1310 -1281 BC) who ruled the city as a part of the Assyrian homeland. Amida remained an important region of the Assyrian homeland throughout the reign of king Tiglath-Pileser-I (1114–1076 BC) and the name Amida appeared in the annals of Assyrian rulers until 705 BC, and also appears in the archives of Armenian king Tiridates II in 305 AD, and the Roman historian Ammianus Marcellinus (325–391 AD).

The game puts the player in control of a thief that must make his way through simple mazes in search of items to steal. Each level is populated by stocky, possibly robotic guards that converge on the player, and which the player must either shoot or evade.
It shares some similarities to the 1980s arcade video game Berzerk.
Thief: The Dark Project, also known simply as Thief, is a 1998 first person stealth video game developed by Looking Glass Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. Set in a medieval steampunk metropolis called the City, the game follows Garrett, a master thief trained by a secret society. An expanded edition of the game, Thief Gold, was released in 1999.
Thief was the first PC stealth game to use light and sound as game mechanics. Its use of first-person perspective for non-confrontational gameplay challenged the first-person shooter market, which led the developers to call it a "first-person sneaker". The game combines complex artificial intelligence with simulation systems to allow for emergent gameplay. Thief's influence has been traced to later stealth titles such as Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Hitman.
The game received critical acclaim and has been placed on numerous hall-of-fame lists. With sales of half a million units by the year 2000, it is Looking Glass' most commercially successful game. Alison Drake (Ruth Chatterton) is the wealthy owner and hard-driving, no-nonsense head of a large automobile company, inherited from her father. Her work has caused her to lose her youthful romanticism, and she has casual affairs with men, including her own employees.
Alison hosts a party at her mansion, but becomes fed up with the men out to either sell her things or marry her for her money. She dresses down and goes to an amusement park, where she picks up a man at a shooting gallery. They have fun together, but he refuses her offer to go home with him.
The next day, they meet again at her factory. To their mutual astonishment, he turns out to be Jim Thorne (George Brent), a gifted engineer she has ordered her underlings to hire away from her competition. Saying that she has no time now, Alison has him come to her mansion that night, supposedly to discuss his plans for the company in detail. She attempts to seduce him, but he rejects her as anything other than his employer.
