Book of Joel

The Book of Joel is part of the Hebrew Bible. Joel is part of a group of twelve prophetic books known as the Twelve Minor Prophets. (The term indicates the short length of the text in relation to the longer prophetic texts known as the Major Prophets).

Content

After a superscription ascribing the prophecy to Joel (son of Pethuel), the book may be broken down into the following sections:

Run, Joe, Run

Run, Joe, Run was a Saturday-morning television program that aired on NBC from 1974 to 1976. It centered on Joe, a German Shepherd dog in the military's K-9 corps, and his master, Sergeant Will Corey (played by Arch Whiting). One day, during training, Joe was falsely accused of attacking his master, a crime for which the dog would be put to sleep as punishment. However, he escaped before being killed and a $200 bounty was put on his head.

Sgt. Corey believed Joe was innocent and also pursued him, hoping to find Joe before the authorities did. While on the run, Joe helped people he encountered.

During the show's second season, Sgt. Corey, having never found Joe (although he always came close), was called back to duty. Joe then teamed with a hiker, Josh McCoy (played by Chad States), and continued to help others, all the while still on the run.

The show was considered as a cross between Lassie and The Fugitive. Like The Fugitive, and later, The Incredible Hulk, it centered on a falsely accused person (in this case, the "person" was a dog) running from authorities and helping out people he meets along the way. The show was produced by D'Angelo Productions, which also produced the NBC young adult drama, Westwind, and other live-action series for Saturday mornings.

Coffee

Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. The plant is native to subtropical Africa and some islands in southern Asia. The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. The two most commonly grown are the highly regarded arabica, and the less sophisticated but stronger and more hardy robusta. Once ripe, coffee beans are picked, processed, and dried. Dried coffee beans are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. Roasted beans are ground and brewed to produce coffee as a beverage.

Coffee is slightly acidic and can have a stimulating effect on humans because of its caffeine content. Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. It can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, etc.). It is usually served hot, although iced coffee is also served. Clinical studies indicate that moderate coffee consumption is benign or mildly beneficial in healthy adults, with continuing research on whether long-term consumption inhibits cognitive decline during aging or lowers the risk of some forms of cancer.

Feelings (The Grass Roots album)

Feelings is the third album by the American rock group The Grass Roots. The album was originally released by Dunhill Records in 1968. It contained many songs composed by the group's members and studio performances of the musician's instrumentation. The album was intended to take the group into a heavier psychedelic direction with their music. The A and B side singles released were "Melody For You", "Hey Friend", "Feelings", "Here's Where You Belong", "Who Will You Be Tomorrow", "Hot Bright Lights", "All Good Things Come To An End" and "You And Love Are The Same". Midway during this run "Midnight Confessions" was released as an A side and became the group's highest charting single.

Songs

The songs featured unique touches by arranger Jimmie Haskell. The songs were a 50/50 split between outside composers and the group. It had intricate orchestration and a great example of what the band members were capable of as musicians and songwriters had the record company continued to allow them creative freedom. The title song was created back in 1966 in the pre Grass Roots garage group named the 13th Floor. Fukomoto was the main composer and Entner & Coonce helped with the arrangements. The song featured a powerful sustained fuzz guitar and Eastern influences giving it a heavy 1968 psychedelic flavor.

James (musician)

Faruq Mahfuz Anam (known by his stage name James) is a Bangladeshi singer, guitarist, and composer. He is often referred to as "Feelings" and now its name "Nagar Baul" (the urban mendicant) and "Guru". James is currently the lead guitarist and vocalist of the band Nagar Baul (formerly known as Feelings). He has also played back in few songs in Bollywood movies. James rose to mainstream fame in 1990s as the frontman of "Feelings", now renamed "Nagar Baul" which is one of the "Big Three of Rock", who were responsible for developing and popularising rock music in Bangladesh, the other two being LRB and Ark. James is considered to be the pioneer of psychedelic rock in Bangladesh.

Early life

James was born in Naogaon and raised in Rajshahi and Chittagong. His father was a government employee who was later appointed as the Chairman of the Chittagong Education Board. From his teens, James developed an avid interest in music, an interest which his family did not accept or support. He first played guitar with his friends when he was in class seven in 1973. Following a huge dispute with his family, James left his house when he was in class eight. He started living in a dormitory called Aziz Boarding in Chittagong. This is the place his musical career kickstarted and flourished after he met the musicians from the band "Feelings". He joined "Feelings" as the vocal and lead guitarist.

Feelings (Johnny Mathis album)

Feelings is an album by American pop singer Johnny Mathis that was released in the fall of 1975 by Columbia Records. It made its first appearance on Billboard magazine's Top LP's & Tapes chart in the issue dated November 8, 1975, and remained there for 21 weeks, peaking at number 97. It received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America on December 30, 1980.

The first single from the album, "Stardust", entered Billboard's list of the 50 most popular Easy Listening songs in the US in the issue of the magazine dated November 29, 1975, and peaked at number four over the course of 12 weeks. "One Day in Your Life" was released as the follow-up and entered that same chart in the March 13, 1976, issue, eventually getting as high as number 36 during its five weeks there.
