History

Formation

The final line-up for Faster Faster was formed in July 2007, the five musicians teamed up to consist of the band that would soon become the official Faster Faster. Kyle (vocals), Randall (vocals/guitar), Ryan (guitar), Steuart (drums), and Joey (bass) were all previously members of other local bands in and around Brunswick, Georgia that were predominantly hard core groups but found a softer sound they felt was more fitting after leaving their grungy tunes behind. The band’s popularity skyrocketed after hundreds of listeners logged on to their Myspace profiles and gave each song a listen.

"Pillow Talk" & "Hopes & Dreams"

Producing a glimpse of their potential hit songs, Pillow talk 101 was released on a south Georgia label called Still Movement Records after several months of brainstorming and recording. Shortly thereafter, they paired up w/ Matt Vigliotti and Eccentric Energy Entertainment to manage the band and help with touring. Now after two years of playing live shows and critiquing their work, Faster Faster, with bigger dreams of success than ever, released their freshman, full-length, album Hopes and Dreams in August 2008 on Oort Records, a sub-label of Lobster Records.

Deprisa, Deprisa

Deprisa, Deprisa (English: Hurry, Hurry!) is a 1981 Spanish film directed by Carlos Saura. In the English-speaking world, it has been released under the titles Faster, Faster and Fast, Fast. It tells the story of a gang of juvenile delinquents.

Plot

Pablo and Meca, two young urban delinquents, live from day to day by a series of robberies, mostly car thefts. During one such robbery, the car’s owner catches the two in the act. They roll up the windows and lock the doors to prevent intrusion. Helplessly trapped inside the troublesome vehicle by a mob that has now closed in around them, the pair forces a clear path through the crowd by brandishing a gun, before making their escape into the street. However, the stolen car only proves to be the first step in a more elaborate scheme. Spotting an attractive waitress named Ángela at a local cafeteria, Pablo is immediately captivated by the receptive (and equally restless) young woman, who soon becomes his lover, promising to stay together always. Pablo teaches Ángela to shoot a gun and, subsequently, inducts her into their gang after an afternoon of makeshift target shooting.
