Fast Life (film)

Fast Life is a 1932 American Pre-Code romantic comedy film starring William Haines and Madge Evans, directed by Harry A. Pollard and is based upon the story Let's Go by E.J. Rath.

Plot

Two people leave the US Navy after having served ten years as a sailor. Sandy is one of them and later invents a carburetor that should increase the speed that powered boats will run. When testing it, he accidentally sinks a boat and has to pay for it. Now he is broke and enters a boat contest. To win, he has to invent the fastest boat in the world.

Fast Life is the fourth studio album by American rapper Paul Wall. It was released on May 12, 2009, by Swishahouse and Asylum Records. For this album, unlike Paul's two prior albums which both of those albums were released under Atlantic Records.

Singles

The album's lead single "Bizzy Body" featuring Webbie and Mouse, who is the producer by the latter on this track. It was released on December 2, 2008. The music video premiered on March 27, 2009 via MySpace.

The album's second single "Lemon Drop" featuring Baby Bash, was released on the same day as the music video on July 13, 2009.

The album's third single "Got to Get It" premiered on July 23, 2009, along with the accompanying music video.

The album's fourth single "I Need Mo" featuring Kobe, was released on the same day as the music video on September 24, 2009. With Paul Wall himself, he said that it was shot and filmed through his iPhone.

Fast Life is an album by David Murray released on the DIW/Columbia label. It was released in 1991 and features four quartet performances by Murray with John Hicks, Ray Drummond, and Idris Muhammad and two tracks with saxophonist Branford Marsalis added.

Reception

The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 2 stars stating "This CD is a bit of a mixed bag. The great tenor David Murray is joined by pianist John Hicks, bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Idris Muhammad and is heard at his best on two relatively straight-ahead pieces, "Luminous" and "Off Season." But Branford Marsalis guests on two other selections, and those are much more erratic, with rambling solos by the two tenors and a lot of aimless high energy. Wrapping up this set are a calypso and the lightweight "Intuitively," making the net results less than one might hope.".
