Farse
Farse are a five-piece ska-punk band hailing from Birmingham in the West Midlands.
History
They attended St. Thomas Aquinas school in Birmingham(UK), where the band formed in 1996 as a four piece, Ollie (Vocals/Guitar) Chris (Bass) Dan (Drums) Tom Rose (Guitar). After releasing a string of demos and a few line up changes, mainly Tom Whithouse joining on second Guitar, leaving Ollie as Vocalist and Ade Preston replacing Tom Rose in the same year, they released their debut album, Means To An End, (recorded at Rich Bitch studios, Selly Oak, Birmingham) on 8 October 2001. The record created a buzz throughout the underground punk and ska scene in the UK and attracted the attention of the Moon Ska Europe label. Farse then entered UB40's DEP International Studios, to record their second album Boxing Clever in late 2002. Following the album's release the band's popularity grew, with the video for the song Hopscotch receiving heavy rotation on the now-defunct digital music channel P-Rock. The band then embarked on several headlining tours throughout the UK before unexpectedly announcing their split in early 2004. Their full final tour was with Phinius Gage at the end of 2003. During their career they performed with similar acts such as King Prawn, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mad Caddies, Bowling For Soup, Reel Big Fish and Capdown.

Kina Cosper (born January 25, 1969) is an American musician, best known for her work with Grammy Award-nominated group Brownstone (after their nomination), and her 2000 solo single "Girl from the Gutter". She is currently working on new music.
Biography
Solo career
Kina was born in Detroit. She found success with her single "Girl from the Gutter", which received strong airplay and peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. She then released her self-titled debut album on July 18, 2000. Kina peaked at #14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
"Girl from the Gutter" was followed by the single "Me," which peaked at #3 on the same chart. "Have a Cry" was released to radio but never charted.
To date this is Kina's only released album. Kina parted ways with DreamWorks Records shortly after the final single release.
A few years after their release, Kina's songs began popping up in various TV shows. In fall 2005 "Give & Take" and "I Love You" both appeared in an episode of the UPN sitcom Girlfriends. Kina's song "Sincerely" was also featured in the motion picture Beauty Shop.
Papua New Guinean kina
The kina (ISO 4217 code: PGK) is the currency of Papua New Guinea. It is divided into 100 toea. The kina was introduced on 19 April 1975, replacing the Australian dollar at par. The name kina is derived from Kuanua language of the Tolai region, referring to a callable pearl shell used widely for trading in both the Coastal and Highlands areas of the country.

Coins
In 1975, coins were introduced for 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 toea and 1 kina. The 1 and 2 toea were minted in bronze, with the others in cupronickel. The 1 kina is round and holed in the centre, this denomination was reduced in size starting from 2006, and the larger coin was demonetised from the 31 December 2008. 2008 also saw the introduction of a bimetallic 2 kina coin intended to replace the 2 kina note. The withdrawal of the 1 and 2 toea coins also occurred in 2006 and as from the 19 April 2007 are also no longer legal tender. In 1980, 50 toea coins were introduced but only issued in commemorative form without a standard design.
