Farmer Kelly

Farmer Kelly (January 22, 1889 – April 26, 1961) was a college football player, from Orlinda, Tennessee. He was then a county agent for the U. S. Department of Agriculture in Kentucky.

University of Tennessee

Kelly was a prominent tackle for the Tennessee Volunteers of the University of Tennessee from 1911 to 1914. He was the All-Southern captain of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) champion 1914 team.

1914

In 1914, Tennessee won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the first championship of any kind for the Tennessee program. Winning all nine of their games, the 1914 squad was only the second undefeated team in Tennessee history. The 1914 Vols were retroactively awarded a national championship by 1st-N-Goal, though this remains largely unrecognized. One account of the Sewanee game that year reads "Mush Kerr played a wonderful game in the line as did Capt. Kelly. The work of the Tennessee line was easily the feature of the contest, and Sewanee early discovered that it was practically useless to rely on line plunges to gain ground."

Kelly (Kelly Price album)

Kelly is the fifth studio album by American R&B singer-songwriter Kelly Price released on May 3, 2011 on the labels My Block Records and Malaco Records. The album received three Grammy nominations at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, for Best R&B Song, Best R&B Performance (both for the song "Not My Daddy") and Best R&B Album. Price arranged all of the vocals on the album.

Kelly (Australian TV series)

Kelly is an Australian children's television series that first screened on Network Ten in 1991. The series was produced by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions and featured the adventures of a former police dog called Kelly.

Plot

Kelly is a highly trained German Shepherd police dog who needs to recover from an injury on duty. Sergeant Mike Patterson sends him to stay with his son's family. Kelly becomes the constant companion of Jo Patterson, Mike's granddaughter, and her friend Danny Foster. Kelly has many classic adventures with the family and other friends, and was considered Australia's answer to 'Lassie' and 'The Littlest Hobo.

Farmer

A farmer (also called an agriculturer) is a person engaged in agriculture, raising living organisms for food or raw materials. The term usually applies to people who do some combination of raising field crops, orchards, vineyards, poultry, or other livestock. A farmer might own the farmed land or might work as a labourer on land owned by others, but in advanced economies, a farmer is usually a farm owner, while employees of the farm are known as farm workers, or farmhands. History

Farming has been dated back as far as the Neolithic era. By the Bronze Age, the Sumerians had an agriculture specialized labour force by 5000–4000 BCE, and heavily depended on irrigation to grow crops. They relied on three-person teams when harvesting in the spring. The Ancient Egypt farmers farmed and relied and irrigated their water from the Nile.

Farming is a technique of financial management, namely the process of commuting (changing), by its assignment by legal contract to a third party, a future uncertain revenue stream into fixed and certain periodic rents, in consideration for which commutation a discount in value received is suffered. It is most commonly used in the field of public finance where the state wishes to gain some certainty about its future taxation revenue for the purposes of medium-term budgetting of expenditure. The tax collection process requires considerable expenditure on administration and the yield is uncertain both as to amount and timing, as taxpayers delay or default on their assessed obligations, often the result of unforeseen external forces such as bad weather affecting harvests.
