Far Cry 2

Far Cry 2 is an open world first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released on October 21, 2008 in North America, October 23, 2008 in Australia, and October 24, 2008 in Europe. It was made available on Steam on October 22, 2008.Crytek, the developers of the original game, were not involved in the development of Far Cry 2. It is the second installment of the main Far Cry series; the sequels Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 were released in 2012 and 2014, respectively.

Ubisoft has marketed Far Cry 2 as the true sequel to Far Cry, however the sequel has very few noticeable similarities to the original game. Instead, it features completely new characters and setting, as well as a new style of gameplay that allows the player greater freedom to explore different African landscapes such as deserts, jungles, and savannas. The game takes place in a modern-day Central African nation during civil war. The player takes control of a mercenary on a lengthy journey to locate and assassinate "The Jackal", a notorious gun runner. As of January 23, 2009, the game has sold 2.9 million copies.

Far Cry 4

Far Cry 4 is an open world action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It is the successor to the 2012 video game Far Cry 3, and the fourth main installment in the Far Cry series. The game was released on November 18, 2014.

The game takes place in Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan country that mostly consists of sprawling mountains and forests, vast water systems, and villages. The main story follows Ajay Ghale, a young Kyrati-American, as he is caught in a civil war involving Kyrat's Royal Army, controlled by tyrannical king Pagan Min, and a rebel movement called the Golden Path. Gameplay focuses on combat and exploration; players battle enemy soldiers and dangerous wildlife using a wide array of weapons, while completing side missions, collecting useful items, and progressing through the game's main story. The game features many elements found in role-playing games, such as a branching storyline. In addition to the game's campaign, the game features a map editor, a co-operative multiplayer mode, and an asymmetrical competitive multiplayer mode which was developed by Red Storm Entertainment.

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is an open world action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in conjunction with Ubisoft Massive, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Reflections, published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game was released on November 29, 2012 in Australia, November 30 in Europe, and December 4 in North America. A stand-alone expansion titled Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was released on April 30, 2013.

Far Cry 3 is set on a tropical island between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. After a vacation goes awry, protagonist Jason Brody must save his friends, who have been kidnapped by pirates and escape from the island and its unhinged inhabitants.

The third installment in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 3 was critically acclaimed upon release, with reviewers praising its world design, open-ended gameplay and story, while the game's multiplayer mode was criticized. Following the game's success, Ubisoft announced a successor, Far Cry 4.

Far Cry (Rush song)

"Far Cry" is the first single from Rush's 2007 album Snakes & Arrows. It was released to radio on March 12, 2007, then saw a digital release on iTunes four days later. The song peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Background

The song evolved from a studio jam session between Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee. Neil Peart unexpectedly left lyrics he had just finished on the table with the chorus highlighted. Lee began singing the chorus along with a section of the jam and, according to him, it seemed to fit. The song was written in a day with Geddy Lee remarking "Far Cry was a good day."

As of 2015 'Far Cry' has been played on every tour since its release.

Video

The video, directed by Christopher Mills (producer), was released on YouTube, on May 8, 2007. It contains extensive stop-motion footage featuring the band's members and clips from their 1970s and 80s videos.

Farø

Farø is an island in Denmark, located between the islands Sjælland and Falster. It has an area of 0.93 km² and has a population of four people (2006). Administratively it is part of Vordingborg Municipality.

The Farø Bridges (Farøbroerne) connect Sjælland with Falster via Farø, on the European Routes E47 and E55 combined. Junction 42 of E55 is located on the western side of Farø. The island is connected by causeway with the islands of Bogø and Møn by route 287 Grønsundvej.
