Fandango (Mexican band)

Fandango was a Mexican pop group created in 1984 and that ran to as early as 1991 consisting of 5 teenage girls from Monterrey, Mexico. They taped and released their first music album under EMI music. Fandango was created from the late 80's pop-music revolution throughout Mexico to compete against other teenager groups like Menudo, Timbiriche, Flans, and Pandora. "Autos, Moda y Rock and Roll" reached and maintained the Top 10 for over 2 months. The group set a dressing trend among teenagers in Mexico. With the backing of ROCKSTAR they made the GTA 5 soundtrack.

Origins and first years

Everything begins in 1984 when 5 teenage girls who belonged to the names of: Yadira, Rocio, Diana Carolina, Moña and Evalinda, childhood friends decide to unite to create a new youth group under the baton of young producer Abelardo Leal, which gets associated a label (Zigan Records) Monterrey and with this group in 1985 recorded his first LP titled Contrastes, which was only distributed in the city of Monterrey and among family and friends of the girls, while the group only presented in private parties and malls.

Fandango (US band)

Fandango were an American pop rock band fronted by vocalist Joe Lynn Turner.

The band opened for acts like The Allman Brothers and Chicago. Turner has stated that the band took influences from the Eagles and southern rock. He also claims the group disbanded after their equipment was stolen and that they had various problems. Turner's work with the group got him noticed by Ritchie Blackmore, who chose him to replace Graham Bonnet in Rainbow. Larry Dawson (stage name of Larry Dvoskin), one of the band's keyboardists, would later play for Uli Jon Roth.

Fandango (The Phoenix Foundation album)

Fandango is the fifth full-length album by New Zealand band, The Phoenix Foundation. The first double-album by the band, it was released in Australasia on 26 April 2013, and in England soon after. Fandango's final track "Friendly Society" is one of their longest to date, running just under 18 minutes in length.

Release

The first single from Fandango was "The Captain", released in late January 2013, alngside an announcement that the album would be released at the end of April. The full album was made available for streaming on The Guardian two weeks before its release date.

Greeks (finance)

In mathematical finance, the Greeks are the quantities representing the sensitivity of the price of derivatives such as options to a change in underlying parameters on which the value of an instrument or portfolio of financial instruments is dependent. The name is used because the most common of these sensitivities are denoted by Greek letters (as are some other finance measures). Collectively these have also been called the risk sensitivities,risk measures or hedge parameters.

Use of the Greeks

The Greeks are vital tools in risk management. Each Greek measures the sensitivity of the value of a portfolio to a small change in a given underlying parameter, so that component risks may be treated in isolation, and the portfolio rebalanced accordingly to achieve a desired exposure; see for example delta hedging.

The Greeks in the Black–Scholes model are relatively easy to calculate, a desirable property of financial models, and are very useful for derivatives traders, especially those who seek to hedge their portfolios from adverse changes in market conditions. For this reason, those Greeks which are particularly useful for hedging—such as delta, theta, and vega—are well-defined for measuring changes in Price, Time and Volatility. Although rho is a primary input into the Black–Scholes model, the overall impact on the value of an option corresponding to changes in the risk-free interest rate is generally insignificant and therefore higher-order derivatives involving the risk-free interest rate are not common.

Gamma (store)

Gamma is a Dutch Hardware store-chain. It started in May 11, 1978 in Breda. The headquarters of the franchise-organisation Intergamma is located in Leusden and as of 2011 it has 245 stores, of which 164 are located in the Netherlands and 81 in Belgium. Intergamma also owns the Hardware store-chain Karwei.

History

In 2008 Gamma had a revenue of 606 million euro.

Gamma commercials have been broadcast in the Netherlands on radio and television since 1994, and have made the actors John Buijsman and Martin van Waardenberg well known in the Netherlands. In Flanders Luk Wyns is the face of the company.
