Family Center

The Family Center Department Centers are a new network of shopping parks in Hungary.

With the centers being developed in the increasingly popular strip mall-concept, the investor, Magnum Hungaria Real Estate Development Group, works to spread a family-oriented shopping format. Every development is being built next to an already existing hypermarket or bigger department store; alternatively both are part of the same investment.

The Family Centers' Main Tenants

Amongst the typical tenants are: Deichmann, ElektroPont, Hervis Sports, Humanic Shoes, Intersport, Leonardo Shoes, Müller Drugstore, Takko Fashion, Vögele Fashion, Interspar Hypermarket, Media Markt Electronics etc. The first Family Center opened on 8. September 2005 in Budapest's X. district. At present, seven Family Centers are operating in Hungary. For the next two years, openings of another twelve department centers are planned.
