Down Home is a 1920 American silent drama film written, directed, and produced by Irvin Willat and starring Leatrice Joy and James Barrows. The film is based on the novel Dabney Todd, by F. N. Westcott. It was distributed by the independent film distributor W. W. Hodkinson.

Falling Down (Oasis song)

"Falling Down" is a song by English rock band Oasis, featured on their 2008 seventh studio album Dig Out Your Soul. Written and sung by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher, it was released as the third single from the album and is also the final single released by the band with the digital release occurring a day earlier.

Music

An excerpt of the B-side song "Those Swollen Hand Blues" appears at the end of "Mucky Fingers", the second track of Oasis' 2005 album Don't Believe the Truth.

The lyric: "Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly" references the quotation: "Who breaks a butterfly upon a wheel?" from Alexander Pope's "Epistle to Dr Arbuthnot".

Reception

The song debuted at number 10 in the UK Singles Chart with first-week sales of 21,448, but the song only achieved a chart position of number 37 in the UK download chart in the same week, most likely because it was available as a download release before the new album was released. (Upon the release of Dig Out Your Soul the previous October, "Falling Down" charted briefly at number 125 on download sales alone). "Falling Down" is the sixth Oasis single to be sung by Noel rather than Liam. It is also the second Oasis song to be used in a TV series (the first being "Half the World Away"). Due to strong download sales of the track, the B-side "Those Swollen Hand Blues" made the UK charts at number 190 on the day "Falling Down" made the top ten.

Falling Down (Duran Duran song)

"Falling Down" is a single by English band Duran Duran from Duran Duran's 2007 album Red Carpet Massacre, and was sent to radio and available to download from iTunes USA on 25 September 2007 (2007-09-25). It was recorded in two sessions in Blueprint Studios, Manchester and Sarm Studios, London. The band collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Danja in writing and producing the song, as with most other songs from the album.

According to the band's official website, the single wasn't released on CD in the USA, due to the decline of physical singles being released in the US over passing time. However, the single was still released on CD in several European countries on 12 November 2007 (2007-11-12) and an 8-track promo CD was also released featuring remixes by artists such as Sebastian Leger and T-empo.

The single was the band's last to be released on Epic Records.

Music video

The music video for "Falling Down" centres around models in rehab with the members of Duran Duran acting as doctors and therapists, wearing white suits and thick glasses, counselling a group of the models and passing round pills. The band has publicly stated that pop star Britney Spears served as inspiration for the main character in the music video.

Falling Down (Sub Focus song)

"Falling Down" is a song by the drum and bass artist Sub Focus, featuring vocals from Boston-born and London-raised recording artist Kenzie May. Originally previewed through Douwma' SoundCloud page on 14 December 2011, it was released as a free digital download on 1 January 2012 through RAM Records and Mercury Records. The song became the first single of Sub Focus' second studio album Torus. On 15 May 2012, the single was re-released as an EP through OWSLA alongside remixes from Nick Thayer, xKore and Sub Focus himself. The VIP also features on the deluxe edition of Torus.

Background and release

The synth hook on "Falling Down" was originally intended for the Chase & Status and Takura collaboration "Flashing Lights" but didn't fit the song so was re-used as a starting point for the new song. While the track was being finished, Skrillex coincidentally visited the studios to meet Caspa and Douwma showed him the track. Skrillex enjoyed it and decided to release it on OWSLA.
