Das Model

"Das Model" (spelling on all releases of the album up to the 2009 remaster: "Das Modell"; English version title: "The Model") is a song recorded by the German group Kraftwerk in 1978, written by musicians Ralf Hütter and Karl Bartos, with artist Emil Schult collaborating on the lyrics. It is featured on the album, Die Mensch-Maschine (English version title: The Man-Machine).

First released as a 7" single in Germany (B-side: "Neonlicht"), under its English translation the song was eventually included on the B-side of the "Computer Love" single released in July 1981, which reached no. 36 in the UK charts. When radio DJs started playing the B-side, EMI re-issued the single in December 1981—apparently against the band's wishes—with "The Model" as the A-side. It reached no. 1 in February 1982 and spent a total of 21 weeks in the top 75 of the UK Singles Chart.

German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein covered the German version of "Das Model" in 1997 as "Das Modell". It was released as a non-album single.

Rick Martel

Richard "Rick" Vigneault (born March 18, 1956) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler, best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation between 1980 and 1995 under the ring name Rick Martel. He is also known for his 595-day reign as AWA World Heavyweight Champion, the championship's third longest.

Career

Early years (1972–1980)

Martel is from a family of wrestlers, and made his professional debut at age sixteen when his brother Michel, a wrestler, asked him to replace an injured wrestler. Martel was already a skilled amateur wrestler, and quickly adapted to professional wrestling.

Martel wrestled throughout the world, winning titles in Canada (in Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling and Vancouver-based NWA All Star Wrestling), New Zealand and Puerto Rico. His first real success in America came in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)'s Portland affiliate, Pacific Northwest Wrestling, where he became a top talent, holding the Canadian and PNW tag team titles simultaneously. He left PNW on August 16, 1980, when he lost a Loser Leaves Town match to Buddy Rose. Martel also served a stint as a booker for a wrestling territory in Hawaii, where he would help the promotion set up matches and construct the storylines that would play out inside and outside of the ring.

Fade Away (Best Coast EP)

Fade Away is the debut extended play (EP) by American indie rock duo Best Coast, released on October 22, 2013 on Jewel City. Produced by Wally Gagel, the EP was recorded at Wax Ltd's studios, and was inspired by musical acts like Mazzy Star, Patsy Cline, and My Bloody Valentine. Cosentino also wrote "Fear of My Identity" about "having an existential crisis" after using the sedative Ambien.

Fade Away has received a weighted average score of 67 based on 10 reviews from review aggregator Metacritic, indicating "generally favorable reviews".

Jon Dolan of Rolling Stone considered Fade Away a combination of the band's first two albums, describing it as "masterfully archetypal but utterly [Cosentino's] own."Alternative Press called Fade Away the band's "best work to date," remarking that, "Lyrically introspective, musically tight and vocally resolute [...] Fade Away sounds like a reclamation record for Bethany Cosentino."Pitchfork Media considered the record a return to form for the band, noting that "There are touches of sophistication across Fade Away that Best Coast haven’t been able to achieve until now."
