Viva (2007 film)

Viva is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Anna Biller. It's a faithful homage to sexploitation films from the 1960s and 1970s, but with a feminist twist. The film has received mixed reactions, and "illustrates cinema’s unique ability to blend high and low culture."Viva premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2007. It was also entered into the main competition at the 29th Moscow International Film Festival.Viva was released on DVD by Cult Epics on Feb. 24, 2009.

Viva (UK and Ireland)

Viva (stylised as VIVA) is a music television channel in the United Kingdom and Ireland, owned by Viacom International Media Networks Europe. The channel launched on 26 October 2009, replacing TMF.

History

The channel was officially launched on 26 October 2009 by Alexandra Burke, with an exclusive live performance of her single "Bad Boys". The first music video to be shown on Viva was Alphabeat's "The Spell" in The Official UK Chart Show Top 20 hosted by Sarah-Jane Crawford. It originally broadcast for 24 hours a day until Noggin was removed from the schedule and its hours were reduced to 09:00 – 06:00. It was further reduced to 09:00 – 03:00 on 1 August 2011. The unused hours are now used for teleshopping.

On 19 September 2011 the channel started broadcasting in the 16:9 picture format but the DOG was still set to the 4:3 picture format and appeared stretched; this was later fixed so it appears within the 4:3 safe zone. As with other Viacom channels, most 4:3 content has been stretched to 14:9.

Exception (song)

"Exception" is a pop rock song recorded by the Swedish pop/rock music singer Ana Johnsson. The song was released as second single from her second studio album Little Angel on October 11, 2006. Her official Swedish website also posted that the song it to be the theme song to the Swedish thriller movie Exit, which premiered October 6, 2006 in Sweden.

The single debuted at number ten in the Swedish Singles Charts. In Japan, the song debuted at number 69 in the chart and moved up to number 65 in its next week.

Swedish singer Dilba co-wrote the song with Johnsson and provides some of the backing vocals on the track. Kasper Lindgren from Prime STH plays the drums on the track.

Exception handling

Exception handling is the process of responding to the occurrence, during computation, of exceptions – anomalous or exceptional conditions requiring special processing – often changing the normal flow of program execution. It is provided by specialized programming language constructs or computer hardware mechanisms.

In general, an exception is handled (resolved) by saving the current state of execution in a predefined place and switching the execution to a specific subroutine known as an exception handler. If exceptions are continuable, the handler may later resume the execution at the original location using the saved information. For example, a floating point divide by zero exception will typically, by default, allow the program to be resumed, while an out of memory condition might not be resolvable transparently.

Alternative approaches to exception handling in software are error checking, which maintains normal program flow with later explicit checks for contingencies reported using special return values or some auxiliary global variable such as C's errno or floating point status flags; or input validation to preemptively filter exceptional cases.
