"Everywhere" is a single released by pop rock singer-songwriter Michelle Branch. It was written by Branch and John Shanks for her debut album, The Spirit Room (2001). It was produced by John Shanks. The song served as her debut single worldwide. It was released in the U.S. in July 2001.

The song received positive reviews from critics praising its lyrical content and Branch's vocal performance. The song attained moderate success, reaching the top twenty in Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the United States. The accompanying music video for the song shows Branch watching a boy in the opposite apartment building while she plays her guitar in an empty room.

Branch told MTV in 2001, "Before we made the video, it was a big deal for me to help find the guy [who co-stars in it]. I was like, 'I'm taking over. Send all the photos to me. I have to pick the guy.' I was watching every WB show saying, 'He's cute. Can we contact him?' As a teenage girl, this was really exciting for me. They finally brought me the picture of the guy in my video, Jake Muxworthy. I was like, 'This is it. He has to be in it.' The scenes that he was in were so hard because I had this little crush on him. I would giggle and start blushing [when I saw him]. ... I think his girlfriend is probably going to track me down and kill me now."

Everywhere is a Swedish band consisting of the members Max Berga, Filip Severinson, Marcel Karlsson and Mikael Ingegaard. The band play 'Post-pop' and their sound has been compared to artists such as 'The Cure' and 'Depeche Mode'.

Formation

The band formed in 2012, starting with the lead singer Max Berga posting an ad online, leading to a selection process the singer himself described as "a bunch of washed up rockers turning up, and out of that bunch I hand-picked a few guys that seemed to have the right stuff in them.". Allegedly, the name of the band was chosen when a friend of the members sent a festival poster where he had photoshoped the word "Everywhere" as the headliner.

Monroe (comic strip)

Monroe was an American comic strip which appeared exclusively in Mad Magazine.

The strip was first published in "Mad" in their April 1997 issue, #356. Originally "Monroe" was a pure black-and-white comic strip, written by Tony Barbieri and originally drawn by Bill Wray. In April 2006 Wray left the magazine and the strip was continued from October 2006 on by Tom Fowler. Barbieri still wrote the scripts, occasionally assisted by Ryan Flanders. The last "Monroe" strip was published in issue #502, January 2010.

Concept

Monroe is a teenage boy with two antennae-like hairs on his otherwise bald head. Originally he was a preteen, but as the series progressed he became a teenager. Most gags center around Monroe failing to impress his schoolmates, the girls he adores and/or his parents. He often ends up being mocked or even beaten up by the local bullies. The style of humor can be described as black comedy and gross-out humor.

Monroe (automobile)

The Monroe was a Brass Era and vintage car built in Flint, Michigan (1914–1916), Pontiac, Michigan (1916–1918), and Indianapolis, Indiana (1918-1923).

In the mid-teens, R. F. Monroe was head of the Monroe Body Company in Pontiac, while William C. Durant headed Chevrolet in Flint. These two worked together to form Monroe Motor Company in Flint in August 1914. Monroe was president, while Durant was vice-president. There was a cross-stockholding arrangement between the Monroe and Chevrolet companies. Construction of the Monroe cars occurred in a plant formerly used by Chevrolet in Flint, and the Chevrolet company undertook to distribute the new Monroe automobile. However, in April 1916, Durant resigned his vice-presidency, and the Monroe company moved into the former Welch factory in Pontiac.

The company was now reorganized as the Monroe Motor Car Company, with a capitalization increase to US$1,000,000. This company went bankrupt in 1918. In the fall of the same year, the William Small Company of Indianapolis bought the assets of the Monroe company. The Small company had previously distributed Monroes in Indianapolis. The Pontiac factory was now leased to General Motors for production of the Samson truck. Monroe production was thenceforth carried out in Indianapolis only.

Monroe (TV series)

Monroe is a British medical drama television series created and written by Peter Bowker and produced by Mammoth Screen for the ITV network. The series follows a neurosurgeon named Gabriel Monroe, played by James Nesbitt. The six-part series was commissioned by ITV as one of a number of replacements for its long-running police drama series The Bill, which was cancelled in 2010. Filming on Monroe began in Leeds in September 2010, with production based in the old Leeds Girls' High School in Headingley. The first episode was broadcast on ITV on 10 March 2011 to strong ratings. A second series followed in 2012. On 14 November 2012, it was announced that ITV had cancelled Monroe due to low viewing figures.

Development

Screenwriter Peter Bowker announced to the trade magazine Broadcast in July 2009 that he was developing a "big medical drama" for ITV. Bowker had worked on medical dramas early in his career, including Casualty and Medics. ITV's director of drama Laura Mackie told The Stage that the series would be "grown-up" and would be based around a single character, like ITV's Doc Martin. Mackie believed that other broadcasters were reluctant to create series with one lead character—instead making ensemble shows like Casualty and Holby City—so Bowker's series would not overlap with anything already being screened.
