Everybody is the fourth album by Ingrid Michaelson. The album was released on August 25, 2009 on Cabin 24 Records. The first single from the album, "Maybe", was released on July 14, 2009.

Background

Originally, Michaelson wanted her album to sound close to "Once Was Love." Michaelson has stated that Everybody is "completely autobiographical, snapshots of my life." The main theme of the album, as stated by Michaelson, is "everybody wants to be loved."

Everybody (Justice Crew song)

"Everybody" is a song recorded by Australian dance-pop group Justice Crew, released digitally and physically in Australia on 11 October 2013, as the group's eighth overall single and the third single from their debut studio album Live by the Words (2014). It peaked at number six on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified two times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association, denoting sales of 140,000 copies.

Background and production

"Everybody" was written in Los Angeles by Justice Crew, Danny Mercer and Jackson Morgan, whilst Justice Crew was on tour with Pitbull and Kesha for their North American Tour. The track was produced by Deorro, mixed by Miles Walker, and mastered by Tom Coyne. In a statement released on Justice Crew's official website, group member Eman said, "While on the road in the US we were playing around with lyrics and melodies, we heard this bass line and knew we had to make it ours. 'Everybody' is definitely a track you can dance to especially with the lyrics encouraging everybody to let the good times flow." "Everybody" was made available for digital and CD purchase on 11 October 2013. The CD contains a Jump Smokers remix and a karaoke mix. These mixes were released digitally on 13 December 2013.

VoIP spam

VoIP spam or SPIT (Spam over Internet Telephony) are bulk unsolicited, automatically dialled, pre-recorded phone calls using the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Telephone spam is comparable to E-mail spam, but due to its synchronous character, different mitigation methods are needed.

Voice over IP systems, like e-mail and other Internet applications, are susceptible to abuse by malicious parties who initiate unsolicited and unwanted communications. Telemarketers, prank callers, and other telephone system abusers are likely to target VoIP systems increasingly, particularly if VoIP supplants conventional telephony. The VoIP technology provides convenient tools (e.g. Asterisk and SIPp) and low-priced possibilities to place a large number of Spam calls.

The underlying technology driving this threat is Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). This technology has received significant support from most major telecommunication vendors, and is showing signs of becoming the industry standard for voice, video and other interactive forms of communication such as instant messaging and gaming.

Spit (album)

Spit is the debut album by the heavy metal band Kittie. Produced by Garth Richardson, the album was released on January 11, 2000 by Artemis Records.

Background

Kittie was formed in 1996 when drummer Mercedes Lander and guitarist Fallon Bowman met in gym class. Mercedes' sister Morgan Lander became the lead vocalist and guitarist after weeks of Fallon and Mercedes jamming. Tanya Candler completed the lineup by joining as the bassist. Kittie created demos and began playing gigs in 1998. Kittie played gigs at Call the Office and The Embassy and signed up for Canadian Music Week in 1999. The band approached Jake Weiner, a person who was second in command at NG Records. Kittie made him see them play live and Weiner and the rest of NG Records signed Kittie in the summer of 1999. Kittie got signed to the NG Records-distributed record label Artemis Records and producer Garth Richardson obtained Kittie's demo. NG Records was bought out by Artemis Records. Thus, Kittie ended up on Artemis Records.

Spit (nightclub)

Spit (alternately known as Uncle Sam's) was a nightclub and music venue located on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, New York. The club opened in 1978 and closed in 1992. Some well-known bands performed at the club including Madonna, Blue Öyster Cult and Duran Duran. Some performances were broadcast on WLIR radio. The building was set fire in 1994 by the owners in attempt to collect insurance. They were charged and convicted of arson.
