2009 Champions League Twenty20

The 2009 Champions League Twenty20 was the first edition of the Champions League Twenty20, an international club cricket tournament. It was held in India between 8 October and 23 October 2009 and featured 12 domestic teams from Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies. The New South Wales Blues were the winners of the tournament, defeating Trinidad and Tobago in the final.

Format

The tournament consisted of the 12 domestic teams from seven countries as determined by the domestic Twenty20 tournaments of those countries. The tournament has 23 matches, and is divided into three stages: the group, league and knockout stages. If a match ends in a tie, a Super Over will be played to determine the winner.

The group stage has the teams divided into four equal groups, with each playing a round-robin tournament. The top two teams of each group advances to the league stage. The league stage merges the remaining teams from Groups A and B to form League A, and the remaining teams from Groups C and D to form League B. Another round-robin tournament is played in each league. Teams that have faced each other from the group stage will not play each other again, but have the result from their first meeting carried forward. The top two teams from each league advance to the knockout stage. The knockout stage consists of two semi-finals, with the top team of one league facing the second-placed team from the other. The winners of the semi-finals play the final to determine the winners of the competition.

2010 Champions League Twenty20

The 2010 Champions League Twenty20 was the second edition of the Champions League Twenty20, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament. The tournament, which was held from 10 to 26 September 2010 in South Africa, featured 10 domestic Twenty20 teams from India, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, the West Indies and South Africa.

The Chennai Super Kings emerged the winners of the tournament, defeating the Warriors in the final. Murali Vijay from the Chennai Super Kings won the Golden Bat Award and was declared the Man of the Match of the final, while Ravichandran Ashwin was awarded the Golden Wicket Award and declared the Player of the Tournament.

The song "I Like It" by Enrique Iglesias was taken as the official song for the 2010 Champions League Twenty20. Enrique performed the song along with "Be With You" at the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Host selection

In February 2010, Cricket South Africa announced that South Africa was chosen as the host of the tournament. This was later denied by tournament chairman Lalit Modi, who listed South Africa, Australia, England, India and the Middle East all as possible contenders for hosting the tournament. On 25 April 2010, at the conclusion of the 2010 Indian Premier League, it was announced that South Africa was officially chosen as the host of the tournament. South Africa had previously hosted other major Twenty20 tournaments, including the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2009 Indian Premier League.

Eventually

Eventually is the second solo album that Paul Westerberg released after the breakup of The Replacements.

The album started out in Atlanta with producer Brendan O'Brien. Although those sessions produced good results—the leadoff single, "Love Untold", among them—Westerberg and O'Brien parted ways. O'Brien was pressed for time, and Westerberg needed more time to write enough songs to fill out a full album. Westerberg regrouped with Lou Giordano.

The song "Good Day" was written for late Replacements guitarist Bob Stinson. It references "Hold My Life", a track from the album Tim.

Eventually (mathematics)

In the mathematical areas of number theory and analysis, an infinite sequence (a_n) is said to eventually have a certain property if the sequence always has that property after a finite number of terms. This can be extended to the class of properties P that apply to elements of any ordered set (sequences and subsets of R are ordered, for example).

Motivation and definition

Often, when looking at infinite sequences, it doesn't matter too much what behaviour the sequence exhibits early on. What matters is what the sequence does in the long term. The idea of having a property "eventually" rigorizes this viewpoint.

For example, the definition of a sequence of real numbers (a_n) converging to some limit a is: for all ε > 0 there exists N > 0 such that, for all n > N, |a_n − a| < ε. The phrase eventually is used as shorthand for the fact that "there exists N > 0 such that, for all n > N..." So the convergence definition can be restated as: for all ε > 0, eventually |a_n − a| < ε. In this setting it is also synonymous with the expression "for all but a finite number of terms" – not to be confused with "for almost all terms" which generally allows for infinitely many exceptions.

Nat Wolff

Nathaniel Marvin "Nat" Wolff (born December 17, 1994) is an American actor and musician. Wolff gained recognition for starring in and composing the music for the Nickelodeon musical comedy series The Naked Brothers Band (2007–09) which was created and produced by his actress mother Polly Draper. Wolff's jazz pianist father, Michael Wolff, co-produced the series' two soundtrack albums, the self-titled album The Naked Brothers Band (2007) which ranked #23 on Billboard 200, and the follow-up I Don't Want to Go to School (2008).

Wolff and his younger brother Alex Wolff also formed the music duo Nat & Alex Wolff, and released the album Black Sheep in 2011. Wolff had a supporting role in the theatrical film The Fault in Our Stars (2014). In 2015, he played the lead role in the comedy-drama Paper Towns.

Personal life

Wolff was born in Los Angeles, California, to jazz pianist Michael Wolff and actress Polly Draper. He is the older brother of actor/musician and singer-songwriter Alex Wolff. His maternal grandfather is venture capitalist and civic leader William Henry Draper III, and he is also the nephew of venture capitalist Tim Draper, cousin of actress Jesse Draper, and the great-grandson of banker and diplomat William Henry Draper, Jr. His father is Jewish, while his mother is of Christian background; Wolff was brought up "culturally Jewish."
