Evelyn (VTA)
Evelyn Light Rail Station was a station on the Mountain View–Winchester Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Light Rail Line. It closed on March 16, 2015, and is being demolished to make room for a second track along the Mountain View–Winchester line.
Location
The station platform was on the single-track section east of the Downtown Mountain View light rail station. It was accessed via a pedestrian tunnel under the Caltrain tracks from Evelyn Avenue at the intersection with Pioneer Way.

Closure
Santa Clara VTA decided in August 2014 to close and remove Evelyn station early in 2015. As part of the Light Rail Efficiency Project, a second track will be added between Mountain View Station and Whisman Station, and leaving Evelyn in place would require narrowing Central Expressway and Evelyn Avenue to accommodate the track. According to VTA, the station was the second least-utilized station on the Light Rail system. The park and ride lot across the street from the station is to remain open.

Evelyn is an award winning radio play by Rhys Adrian, first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 21 October 1969. It was later adapted for television as part of BBC 1's Play for Today series which was transmitted on 28 October 1971.
Synopsis
The play is largely a two-hander comprising a series of vignettes featuring pillow talk between the characters referred to in the script simply as 'The Man' and 'The Girl'. He is a city professional in his mid-thirties, she is a middle class housewife in her early twenties; both are enjoying an extra-marital affair, meeting every Tuesday afternoon to make love while The Girl's husband works late at the office.
During one of their liaisons, The Girl claims to love both The Man and her husband equally. Troubled by this revelation, he gently persuades her to leave her husband and commit to him. The Girl does not consider this practical, and reveals that, besides her husband, The Man is not the only lover in her life. The Man grows increasingly paranoid that he will soon be replaced in The Girl's affections.
Evelyn (ward)
Evelyn is an electoral ward in the northernmost part of the London Borough of Lewisham. It is located in the Deptford area on the south bank of the River Thames, and is the only Lewisham ward that borders the Thames. Occupying the northern corner of the London Borough of Lewisham, the Evelyn ward borders only one other Lewisham ward, which is New Cross to the south. But Evelyn borders wards from three other London Boroughs, Greenwich West in the Royal Borough of Greenwich to the east, Surrey Docks of the London Borough of Southwark to the northwest, and across the River Thames on the Isle of Dogs, the Millwall ward from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
It is named after John Evelyn who settled in Deptford with his wife in 1652. Their house, Sayes Court, adjacent to the naval dockyard, was purchased by Evelyn from his father-in-law Sir Richard Browne in 1653 and Evelyn soon began to transform the gardens.
Evelyn Street is the main road passing through the area, it is part of the A200 road and is in a southeast to northwest direction. Deptford railway station is located in the southeast of the ward where Evelyn's entire southern border follows the railway line.
