Eve Bunting

Anne Evelyn Bunting (born December 19, 1928), better known as Eve Bunting, is a Northern Ireland-born American writer of more than 250 books. Her work covers a broad array of subjects and includes fiction and non-fiction books. Her novels are primarily aimed at children and young adults, but she has also written the text for picture books. While many of her books are set in Northern Ireland, where she grew up, her topics and settings range from Thanksgiving to riots in Los Angeles. Bunting's first book, The Two Giants, was published in 1971. Due to the popularity of her books with children, she has been listed as one of the Educational Paperback Association's top 100 authors.

Life

Anne Evelyn Bunting was born in Maghera to Sloan Edmund Bolton, a postmaster, and Mary (née Canning) Bolton, a homemaker. Her mother had a book lending business, while her dad read her Irish poetry and acted like a tough guy near her friends. She married business executive Edward Davison Bunting, whom she met in college, on March 26, 1950, and has three children: Christine, Sloan, and Glenn. She was educated in Belfast, Northern Ireland, attending Methodist College in the early 1940s and graduating in 1945; she then attended Queen's University, where she met her husband. After marrying, the couple moved to Scotland and started their family.

Eve is an Asian satellite and cable TV channel which provides documentary, factual-entertainment, lifestyle and reality programming for female audiences.

It is owned and operated by Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, a division of Discovery Communications.

The channel was launched on 1 August 2014 replacing Discovery Home & Health. The channel is available in Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. It is seen as the only Pay TV channel with a focus on non-fiction media. Eve is the second channel of TLC

This is a list of characters appearing in The Sandman comic book, published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. This page discusses not only events which occur in The Sandman (1989–94), but also some occurring in spinoffs of The Sandman (such as The Dreaming [1996–2001] and Lucifer [1999–2007]) and in earlier stories that The Sandman was based on. All debuted in the Sandman series, except Destiny, who was created by Marv Wolfman and Berni Wrightson in Weird Mystery Tales #1 (1972). A more traditional version of Death had appeared in various previous stories, however.

The Outfoxies

The Outfoxies (アウトフォクシーズ, Autofokkushīzu) is a fighting arcade game which was released by Namco in 1994; it ran on Namco NB-2 hardware and features several professional hitmen secretly set against each other by a held-in-common client, "Mr. Acme". Acme and his wife had hired each of them to assassinate a wealthy art collector, then arranged for them to kill each other to ultimately avoid having to pay their fee - and it is an early example of arena fighting game which predates the straight-to-console Super Smash Bros. and Jump Super Stars series.
