Etta James
Etta James (born Jamesetta Hawkins; January 25, 1938 – January 20, 2012) was an American singer who spanned a variety of music genres including blues, R&B, soul, rock and roll, jazz and gospel. Starting her career in 1954, she gained fame with hits such as "The Wallflower", "At Last", "Tell Mama", "Something's Got a Hold on Me", and "I'd Rather Go Blind" for which she wrote the lyrics. She faced a number of personal problems, including drug addiction, before making a musical resurgence in the late 1980s with the album Seven Year Itch.
James is regarded as having bridged the gap between rhythm and blues and rock and roll, and was the winner of six Grammys and 17 Blues Music Awards. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, the Blues Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Grammy Hall of Fame in both 1999 and 2008.Rolling Stone ranked James number 22 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time and number 62 on the list of the 100 Greatest Artists.

Etta James (also known as Only a Fool) is the eleventh studio album by American Blues artist Etta James, released in 1973.
Reception
The Allmusic review awarded the album 3½ stars stating "A mixture of funk and blues-rock, the new direction turned out dark and brooding... The reinvented James went over well with the public. The album garnered good sales and was even nominated for an Grammy Award".
The album reached peak positions of number 154 on the US Billboard 200 and number 41 on the Billboard R&B chart.

Etta James (1962 album)
Etta James is the third studio album by American blues artist, Etta James. The album was released on Argo Records in 1962 and was produced by Phil and Leonard Chess.
Background
The album was released on a 12-inch LP and consisted of ten tracks, with five of them on each side of the vinyl record. The album spawned the single, "Something's Got a Hold on Me" b/w "Waiting for Charlie to Come Home" which was written for Etta by Burt Bacharach reached the Top 40 in 1962. The album also included two duets with Harvey Fuqua, "If I Can't Have You" and "Spoonful" which were previously released as singles by Etta and Harvey on the Chess label.
