Eric Young (born Eric Gjerdrum; 19 February 1984, Kenya) is a Swedish drummer who is the drummer for the Swedish Sleaze rock/Glam metal band Crashdïet. He is a multi-instrumentalist who played guitar for a band before Crashdïet named Pandemonic who he recorded 2 CDs with. He is a fan of extreme and thrash metal.

Eric Galen Young (born February 26, 1989) is an American professional road racing cyclist who rides for Rally Cycling. Young won the United States National Criterium Championships in both 2011, while riding with Bissell, and in 2013, while riding with Optum–Kelly Benefit Strategies. Before turning professional, Young attended Indiana University Bloomington and won the Little 500 with the "Cutters" team 3 years.
In 2015, Young won the second stage of the Tour of the Gila in a bunch sprint, beating Travis McCabe of Team SmartStop.

Young's broadcasting career began on radio in Auckland in the early 1980s. After a seven-year diversion to the Auckland Star’s sports department, Young returned to broadcasting with the launch of TV3 in 1989.
He has been the New Zealand Sports Writer of the Year and New Zealand Sports Broadcaster of the Year. In 2008 he was the Sports Journalist of the Year, largely for work done as editor of SKY Sport: The Magazine.
He began as a sports newsreader for Radio-i (Auckland, NZ) in 1981. Subsequently he worked at the Auckland Star for six years as chief cricket and rugby league writer. Young has also worked for TVNZ, TV3, Optus Vision and ESPN Star Sports, as a sports commentator and news presenter.
