Lamb or The Lamb may refer to:
Lamb, hogget, and mutton (UK, India, South Africa, Canada, Nepal, New Zealand and Australia) are terms for the meat of domestic sheep (species Ovis aries) at different ages.
A sheep in its first year is called a lamb, and its meat is also called lamb. The meat of a juvenile sheep older than one year is hogget; outside North America this is also a term for the living animal. The meat of an adult sheep is mutton, a term only used for the meat, not the living animals. The term mutton is sometimes used to refer to goat meat in the Indian subcontinent.
Lamb is the most expensive of the three types, and in recent decades sheep meat is increasingly only retailed as "lamb", sometimes stretching the accepted distinctions given above. The stronger-tasting mutton is now hard to find in many areas, despite the efforts of the Mutton Renaissance Campaign in the UK. In Australia, the term prime lamb is often used to refer to lambs raised for meat. Other languages, for example French and Italian, make similar, or even more detailed, distinctions between sheep meat by age and sometimes by gender, though these languages don't use different words to refer to the animal and its meat.
Lamb was a San Francisco-based rock group. They tend to be remembered only for their appearance on the Fillmore: The Last Days concert album, where they were one of several non-star artists on a set dominated by bigger names like the Grateful Dead, Santana, and Jefferson Airplane. They also played at the Ribeltad Vorden in San Francisco. However, they did issue three albums: A Sign of Change (Fillmore, 1970), Cross Between (War. Bros., 1971) and Bring Out The Sun (War. Bros., 1971 - Billed as: Barbara Mauritz & Lamb).
Lamb were formed by the duo of Texan singer Barbara Mauritz and (multi-instrumentalist though primarily guitarist) Bob Swanson, who with Mauritz (writing both separately and together) were responsible for the band's material.
Their music blended jazz, folk music, singer-songwriter pop, gospel, and even some classical and avant-garde influences. Reminiscent in spots of such varied artists as Tim Buckley, Judy Collins (in her art-song phase), David Ackles, and Savage Rose (in that band's most gospel-soaked period), their records were ultimately idiosyncratic enough to defy ready comparison to anyone.
Ti'julk Mr'asz, codename Gates, is a fictional character, a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the DC Universe. Like all natives of the planet Vyrga, Gates has a largely insectoid body. He is also noted for his strong political views, tending towards socialism.
Gates was the third non-biped member (after Quislet and Tellus) in the history of the Legion (the first after the 1994 Reboot). He was also unique amongst Legionnaires in being their only unwilling member, having been drafted by his planetary government to represent them in the Legion (which he perceived as being militaristic and inherently fascist). Apparently Gates is one of the very few free-thinkers on his homeworld; the rest are unindividualistic conformists.
Gates has played key roles in many missions; his tactics enabled Star Boy to defeat Validus of the Fatal Five and he was able to resist the Emerald Eye's possession. Gates was part of the Legion team that was stranded in the 20th century for a time, where he came up with the strategy to defeat Mantis, and forged a close friendship with teammate Brainiac 5. Gates also joined Ultra Boy in helping out at soup kitchens during their stay.
Gates (stylized as gates) is an American post rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Gates formed in 2011 with their self-released debut EP titled The Sun Will Rise And Lead Me Home. The following year they released their second self-released EP titled You Are All You Have Left To Fear.
On April 30, 2013 Gates signed to Pure Noise Records. Their second EP was re mixed and re mastered by Mike Watts and re-released in the fall of 2013 via Pure Noise Records. In April 2014 Gates announced they were supporting Have Mercy and Pentimento on their co-headlining tour.
In September 2014, Gates premiered a new song titled Low from their then upcoming debut full length album. In September, the band released another song from the album titled Not My Blood. The band premiered a third song from the album, titled Born Dead via Alternative Press. Their debut full length album, recorded at Vu Du Studios, produced and mixed by Mike Watts and Kevin Dye, titled Bloom & Breathe, was released on October 21, 2014 via Pure Noise Records.
Enter or ENTER may refer to:
Enter is the second release but first full-length album by Russian Circles. It was released on Flameshovel Records on May 16, 2006. The band's use of fade off at the end of each song allows the album to flow continuously. All tracks first appeared on their self-titled EP, with the exception of "Micah" and "Enter."
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
Enter His courts, His courts with praise
Be thankful unto Him and bless His name
For the Lord is good all the time
And all the time God is good
Come on let's lift Him up
Let's lift Him up
Verse:
You should worship Him
With and attitude of grattitude
For He is worthy to be praise
We should come together in one accord
And bless His holy name
If you wanna praise Him
If you wanna lift Him up
You should worship Him in spirit
And in truth
When the praises go up
Blessings come down
And we should give it all to Him
Vamp 1:
(Lift Him up) Lift Him up
(Jesus) Jesus
(Lift Him up) Lift Him up
(Higher) Higher
(Repeated)
Vamp 2:
Lift Him up
